Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

In case you were wondering, they were made up of 30 cornermen, 23 middle infielders, 8 catchers, 1 DH, 41 outfielders, and 47 pitchers.

Good stuff, Wayne. It should be interesting to see how far Holliday drops in other mocks. Funston, from ESPN, was comparing him to Carlos Lee and dropping him to the middle of the second round.

Any new news your way on the potential Peavy deal?

I'm actually somewhat surprised Wieters wasn't a top 8 catcher in ADP with how much talk there is about Hernandez being on the outs and how great Wieters (#1 prospect?) is and whatnot...

Wieters is a great Prospect - but has played just one year of professional baseball. I see him three or four times a week right now (AFL) and he WILL be very good, but I would be very surprised if he doesn't start the year at AAA

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't draft him that high, but he'll go before a lot of starters I'm guessing on draft day... just because of the hype, consistently high numbers at a weak position, and people drafting prospects REAL high. Some people think Hernandez will be released before the season starts and he will be their guy.. we'll see I guess.

Kentucky, very scary to see your comments. I agree 100 percent. I thought that all of them went higher than I would ever draft them, but they will go that high because of what they did last year, but at those ADP, none of them will be on my rosters next year

The Atlanta Jerknal-Constipation makes it sound like a deal is pretty near but you never know.

I keep trying to convince myself one good year does not make a superstar, but each draft, there he is, sitting near the top of my list. Improved contact rate, right age, right ball park. I am trying a new mantra however..."fractured wrist...fractured wrist". There is hope yet.
