Stolen Bases

Just something that I have enjoyed following the past few years....

Stolen bases is the one roto category that a player has control over. If he wants to attempt a stolen base, dammit, he'll attempt a stolen base. It has been incredible during the last few years, how few players want to end their season in stolen bases woth 19, 29, or 39 stolen bases.
Maybe it doesn't look good for agents numbers or maybe it's a matter of pride in having an even number.
This year is no different.
11 players have 20, 30, or 40 stolen bases exactly.
Only three have 19, 29, or 39 stolen bases now.
So, expect Denard Span, Dexter Fowler (if given the chance, and Craig Gentry to steal a base over the next few days.

This year's percentage is killing last year's.
Last year, 15 players finished with 20,30,40 stolen bases.
Seven eplayers had 19, 29, 39, or 49. Including Mike Tout who led baseball with 49 steals.
Shame on you, Mike!
