1. Philadelphia's bullpen makes every hitter look like Carlos Correa.
2. The Padres have gone from last year's 'Can't Miss' team to this year's 'Can't Hit' team.
3. I am on pace to hogtie every announcer that has used the phrase 'On Pace'.
4. Starlin Castro, Eugenio Suarez, Trevor Story, and Brandon Crawford.
Their owners are laughing at writers who said that good shortstops are few and should be taken early.
5. Except for Oakland, every California Stadium looks beautiful on tv. Florida has nice oranges.
6. Miguel Sano in right field. Schwarber in left field.
What could possibly go wrong?
7. Jeanmar Gomez is next in line for Saves in PHI....VROOM, VROOM $$$$ !!!
8. Colin McBlugh
9. Ben Repare
10. Trevor Story is streaky. Enjoy.
11. Timing is everything for the media. If Story had hit four homers in three days during the middle of the season. ..
Not much of a Story.
12. The four most hated words concerning your player after making lineups?.....'A Day Of Rest'
13. Shawn Tolleson, can you at least Close the door on your way out?
14. Some thought the Braves would 'showcase' Jason Grilli...?
Showcasing a 39 year old is like putting a jalopy in a showroom.
15. Ken Giles is the Drew Storen of the National League.
16. Does it look to you like the D=Backs aren't all that anxious to give Socrates Brito, AJ Pollock's job?
17. One trick ponies without a trick are lame. Right now, Revere and Hamilton have no tricks.
18. The Pirates made the Cardinals look like the Brewers.
19. The Reds made the Phils look like the Phils.
20. Many drafted Michael Taylor, thinking he was a better option than Jayson Werth.
The good thing for his drafters is that Revere was hurt. The bad thing for the Nats is that Werth is still in the lineup.
By the way, Werth and Taylor are both 0 fer 11 to start the year.
21. Mike Ditka to Jake deGrom..."HAVE BABIES ON YOUR OWN TIME!"
22. It's Friday. The Nationals and Marlins aren't scheduled.
Seriously, who makes the MLB schedule.
23. Tommy LaStella to get a lot of starts in Schwarber's place.
Soler owners- "la STELLA!!" "la STELLA!"
24. Early this week, a batter took five pitches. Four balls and a strike. The announcer called it "A great at bat".
I took out an imaginary gun and shot myself dead.
25. Hyun Soo Kim became Americanized so quickly!
He wants to be paid to not work.
26. Jose Reyes is getting paid.
He's not dialing out and nobody is calling him.
27. Carlos Correa and Trevor Story are getting the lions share of attention.
But man, Robinson Cano looks locked in.
28. Randal Grichuk has struck out six times in 10 at bats.
29. There have been 33 stolen bases.
Smoak, Trumbo, and ARod have one.
Dee Gordon, Hamilton, and Revere have none.
30. If an ace gets beat up, they have the flu.

Grinch, Sano were high flyers with big time K issues. Tough to buy given their pricepoints

Classic and timeless! Great post!
Extra points for the Tennessee Williams "Streetcar..." reference.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Loved #21. I have de Grom on a Super League team. I am embarrassed to admit how many times I Googled him in the last seven days to see when his wife was having a kid and whether it would impact his scheduled start this week. Was hoping the kid would hold out past today's game (way to go, kid!). Now, I want de Grom's wife to go into labor tonight so he doesn't miss any time next week. Yes, I'm pathetic.

I also liked #18 about the Cardinals. No doubt that they will be a pretty good team, but having watched a ton of games this week, I'd be surprised if the Cardinals finished anywhere but third place in their division, behind the Cubs and Pirates. I'm sure Grichuk and Piscotty and the rest of the lineup will pick things up, but I think the Cardinals may struggle to have an average offense this year, and I'd be shocked if they can pull off an unbelievable pitching season like last year two seasons in a row. Still, the Cardinals have a history of proving doubters wrong, so I could be way off here.
