A fantasy lament....


Why is it that when our player crashes into a wall to make a catch, everybody around us goes crazy with the magnificent catch.....and we....we keep looking at the screen to make sure he gets up and looks ok?

Why is it that while others do cheer a magnificent catch, we grit our teeth thinking our hitter can't buy a hit?

Why is it that when our pitcher is trailing 3-1 in a game with a 7ip, 6h, 2er, 1bb, 7k, it looks so much worse than when our pitcher is ahead 4-3, with the identical line.

Why is it that when three hitters get singles, it is us that owns the middle hitter who neither gets a run or rbi?

Why is it that when our hitter gets a hit, is forced out by the next hitter, that the next hitter hits an extra base hit that scores the runner?

Why is it that when two players collide, it is our player that gets hurt?

Why does our pitcher always walk our hitter?

Why is our Catcher always benched against crappy pitchers?

Why doesn't our Closer ever have to face the bottom of the order?

Why is it that when we look at a box score at the normal place for a hitter, it isn't our hitter that day who had the 4-3-3-5 batting line?

Why does it have to be our pitcher that gets tagged with the intentional base on balls before getting pulled from the game?

Why is it our Closer is asked to come in a non-closing appearance, then two days later, is 'unavailable' to Close?

Why do pitchers always play closer attention to OUR base stealers?

Why does umpire reviews always screw us?

Why, when our hitters hits a hard line drive single, is the runner always satisfied with just going to third base?

Why does our best base stealer seem to reach first with a runner in front of him?

Why does he try to stretch singles?

Why does the team with our Closer, score runs in the bottom of the eighth, creating a four run lead?

Why do our hitters have their best series, when it's two games and we have them on the bench?

Why does our pitcher get rained out vs. MIN at home, only to be re-scheduled vs. the Red Sox on the road?
