Manny Not Muchatall.doh

It is pretty crazy seeing the ADP for one player in particular this drafting season.
Manny Machado was a free agent. Already being drafted in the first round, expectations were that he could go even higher if signing with the right team.
Some said that signing with the Yankees would make him a top 5 pick.
And when rumors flew that way, Machado was taken even higher in the first round.
Then....THUD.
Machado signed with the Padres.
He became Manny Not Muchatall.doh.

His ADP fell.
Badly.
In Main Events, he is being taken around the top of the third round.
Sometimes, we are not talent evaluators.
We are real estate agents.
Location! Location! Location!

Manny has gone to the ocean.
Where it is more peaceful. The sand as soft as the Padres lineup.
The ocean as vast as the park he'll play in.
As fantasy baseball players, we don't like change.
Especially when a player leaves a limelight division for a destination that absolutely nobody thinks of, when thinking of smacking baseballs.
San Diego's claim to fame in hitting is Tony Gwynn.
Power hitters?
Umm....
Nate Colbert?
Yes. Nate Colbert is San Diego's all time home run leader.
He hit a lifetime of homers for the Padres...163
Padres power is like Rockies pitching. There is not much of a history.

And now, Machado signs with the Padres and the bottom falls out of his market.
Fantasy players are not betting of even a repeat of last year's number.
If that were so, Manny would have maintained his ADP.
Instead, he has been passed by 15 others players who did not have the temerity to sign for millions of dollars to reside in an ocean side home.
Machado has found peace. Maybe even peace of mind.
At the same time, fantasy players want to give him a piece of their mind.
And they are...through the Main Event drafts.
Machado has become Not Muchatall.doh
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
