NFBC $250 March 24_League_4

Man, this league has been a tough one going back and forth for the past few weeks.

To be honest, a few weeks ago, I didn't think I (Thane Korth'azz) had a good chance at winning because there were too many categories too close too call for me. I would almost need the "perfect storm" to take home the league.

Entering 2nite, the scoreboard read...

1 Thane Korth'azz 100 (A.Ramirez, D.Span)

2 GA DiamondKings 99.5 (N.Punto)

The most hotly contested category was batting average where a single hit could determine the winner/loser. Entering 2nite...

Team BA Pts

Team keikoan 0.285487822 15pts. (Avg based on 6939AB and 1981hits)

GA DiamondKings 0.2854745 14pts. (Avg based on 7745AB and 2211hits)

.

.

.

Thane Korth'azz 0.271984684 5pts. (Avg based on 7835AB and 2131hits)

REDEMPTION II 0.271860095 4pts. (Avg based on 6919AB and 1881hits)

Team keikoan had J.Kubel going and REDEMPTION II had J.Mauer going.

First matchup: Team keikoan vs GA DiamondKings

Kubel goes 0-1 and drops Team keikoan's batting average to 0.285446686. N.Punto goes 0-2 and drops GA DiamondKings batting average to 0.2854008! Team keikoan should stay at 15pts and GA DiamondKings should stay at 14pts by the slimmest of margins.

Second matchup: Thane Korth'azz vs REDEMPTION II

Ramirez goes 0-1 and Span goes 0-3 dropping Thane Korth'azz's batting average to 0.271880582 . Mauer goes 0-3 and drops REDEMPTION II's batting average to 0.271742271. Thane Korth'azz should stay at 5pts and REDEMPTION II should stay at 4pts by the slimmest of margins.

The STATS live scoring has GA DiamondKings gaining a half point tonight to tie me (and coincidentally has Team keikoan losing a half point). I looked over all the categories and I don't see any place GA DiamondKings could have gained a half point, other than if STATS is now counting Team keikoan and GA DiamondKings with the same batting average. Of course they don't have the same average (as computed above). Hopefully it's just a STATS glitch of not taking batting average out to a farther decimal point.

With all the STATS SNAFU's lately, I'm posting this tonight before any of the stats change for documentation purposes. I've taken the "AB and Hits" stats from the YTD report available on our league page. I've also taken screen shots just in case.
