Hello everyone.
I wanted to start a thread here on the message board for anyone that has anything to say about our league. I have a hard time reading that little message box on MDC and this board can last all season.
This is my third season with NFBC. I played in one satellite in 2007, several satellites and the main last year and will be in the main event again this year in Chicago. I finished 4th in Chicago 1 last year.
Hopefully we can complete this league with a descent pace. Of course I say that after taking over 10 hours for my first pick

. I should be able to make all my picks within 2 hours if not 2 minutes from here on out . I think it would be great if we can do at least 1 or 2 rounds per day.
Good Luck to all,
Russel

Do you guys realize that the title of the league you are in is "Slow Draft." I find it ironic that you are complaining about it being slow.

Slow drafts with a 12-hour draft clock are meant to allow a draft to take place over a longer period of time - 1-3 weeks - they are not meant to be drafted at the rate of a few picks per day, nor are they meant to allow players to use a substantial portion of their clock each day.
That clock is to allow people to sleep at night, and a safeguard for the occasional inability to check-in for a short period of time when its your turn.
Some of these are going too slow. Any draft that isn't getting through a minimum 2-3 rounds per day should be complaining.

why does it have to be 2-3 a day, even if it's 1 a day , the draft is done by end of first week in march, the season is still almost a month away and the main draft is still 2 weeks away

Look at the original posting for these drafts. If that is someone's intention, we need a new category called a very-slow draft.

Agree with KJ , THE one i did went about a week and everybody kept it going and it made it a fun week, not a frustrating 2 month slow draft.

Like Kevin mentioned...if everyone took their entire 12 hours each pick...the draft would take 8100 hours = 337 days (damn near one year!!!)
Pop in and check a few times per day, and more often when it's close to your turn to pick.

Agree with KJ, Eddie and Lance. Show some consideration to the other 14 league members and show up more then once every 12 hours.

well, i wasnt suggesting taking the full 12 hrs per pick for everyone, as was pointed out 1 round a day would complete the draft on time with a month to spare, not like that's my goal, just a fact is all and to point out there is no need for some to get all uptight about the pace of the draft, those people should be in a 2-3 hr draft. and i do check as often as i can which is more than a few times a day i don't need to be told to be considerate, it's not my first rodeo by far.
