in any event, for tennis fans: 12 team leagues are like women's tennis or maybe even college tennis. 15 team leagues are men's tennis.

for NCAA fans: 12 team leagues are like the NIT. 15 team leagues are teams that make the Big Show.

as long as the nfbc stays 15 teams, i'm happy to be a clay specialist :D

if nfbc switched to 12 teams, i'd be a fan, not a player. :D

I also agree that 15 teams is much better. Takes more thought into the draft and values the later rounds much more, where the 12 team draft obviously favors the early round picks much more as they can carry your team.

Why not have both, 12 team and 15 team online championships? Something is gonna have to give if there's 800-1000 teams in the near future, at some point the overall prizes loses it's allure.

The 12 team leagues will appease to a certain crowd, especially those switching over from other sites/rotisserie leagues. With the big turnout, Greg might be reluctant to mess with a good thing.

I think there would be much interest in both 12 and 15 team leagues and I would much rather player in a 300-400 team overall than an 800-1000 overall? Just my take. Split it up.

I think they both require skill. With 15 team leagues there is more of a focus on the draft where the 12 team league the deciding factor leans towards in-season management.

If 12 team league teams are just a bunch of "all-star" teams then your skill should allow you to create a better all-star team than the next guy. Although I can see why a lot of guys prefer the 15 team setup. I personally like using the whole player pool too.

The average player has more of a punchers chance in a 12 team format- but it is just that a puncher's chance.

I like them both.

if greg is reading, how many brand new members signed up for the 12 team league this year and not the 15 team league, i.e., how much support did the on line championship event get from brand new players?

I'm a NFBC junkie and I held out from signing up for the online until the 75K carrot got dangled. If it wasn't for that I would've stayed with just the 15 team leagues.

I love the idea of having an online championship. When I first heard about it, I was excited thinking it would be exactly the same as the main event with 15-team leagues except online instead of live (and with less $). 12 team league size was a big disppointment for me. I agree with an above comment about others having more of a punchers chance in a 12-team league.

Again, for the record, I'll always be an nfbc'er and play every year. I just love the 15-team league size much better.

Gordon, you more or less sound like your salty because you weren't able to adapt your 15 team draft strategy down to 12 and aren't happy with the team you put together. Sure there will be more talent spread over 12 teams compared to 15 but if your such a superior drafter you should have attacked and stockpiled more talent then the other 11 teams. "some people can't put the time into fantasy sports that is required to succeed at a high level. those people play in leagues with less than 15 teams" <--people that succeed at a high level can adapt to any format

Just my 2 cents
