'Stuff' is facts
'Junk' is opinion
'Crap' is just crap, random crap...
Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle were tearing it up in 1961. Both, well ahead of Ruth's record pace of 60 home runs.
During the middle of the season, Johnny Blanchard, the Yankees sometime catcher got hot as well. Ralph Houk, the first year skipper of the Yankees called Blanchard aside before a game and said, "I'm gonna put you in the five hole behind Maris and Mantle, that ok with you?"
Blanchard was in heaven. Maris, Mantle, Blanchard...that sounded good to him!
In the first inning Maris hit a ball to right field that traveled 410 feet.
Mantle followed with one that traveled 440 feet.
Blanchard stepped in for his first pitch and was beaned by a fastball.
Dazed, he was helped back to the dugout where he passed Houk.
"Mr. Houk, seventh in the batting order sounds good to me!"
Houk stopped laughing in the second inning.....
It would be cool to have one faab period for these 50 round drafts during the all star break.
It would give us something to plan for and do during this period....
Bryce Harper hit the longest opposite field home run that I've ever seen at a ball game...And it wasn't close.
It looked so ridiculously easy for him that it reminded me of opposite field shots during the steroid era.
When Coco Crisp is thrown out trying to steal that the catcher should be called a cereal killer.
If Darvish is signed who goes to the bullpen?
Holland, Lewis, Harrison, Ogando, or Feliz?
My money is on Feliz...
A writer wrote that Beltran would probably sign with Miami so that he could be closer to his Puerto Rico home.
What a load!
He's not sailing a boat to get here, for crisssakes!
It's about $$$
Writers + Overthinking = Crap
Oh, that's what this is....
