Hack Wilson playing right field had his head down and eyes shut in trying to shake off a hangover.Upon hearing the sound, he played the ball off the wall and threw a perfect strike to second base, where of course, nobody was covering. Great STUFF Dough!

11. Johnny Damon has more hits than Ted Williams.
- What would Williams numbers looked like had WWII not gotten in the way?!

12. Tim Raines reached base more often than shoo-in Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn.
- Tim Raines should be on your ballet for sure when you get a vote! Speaking of that, since you started this Official Baseball Writing Gig, has the clock started ticking on you getting a Vote for the Hall of Fame now that you are Officially a Baseball Writer?

Doughboy,

I enjoyed the trivia in your post. I forwarded one question (Members of the 500 HR club that share first names) on to my local group of baseball geek friends to see how they would do. There were varying degrees of success with one friend not only getting all four correct, but, correctly pointing out that a fifth, "extra-credit," duo should be included. It turns out that Ken Griffey, Jr's real first name is George, which is, of course, the same first name of Mr. George Herman Ruth.
