Ron Shandler's Forecaster is the equivalent to buying a Playboy. We almost boast about reading the publication devouring all the 'Mayberry's' and 'Lima's' and such. But like Playboy, where we say we are reading the stories, we're really there for the pictures, or in the Forecasters case, the player blurbs.

I picked up a copy of Lindy's.
I swear, they have taken a statistic and tried applying it to every player. It's like they just found out what BABIP is and think it is the aspirin for fantasy baseball headaches. I didn't look to see if 'Expert' was on the cover. But, after reading it, I knew they weren't.

John Lackey almost did the Red Sox a favor by coming down with Tommy John disease. Some Managements around baseball will play a player because of the amount of money invested in that player. It's a given that AJ Burnett will be the Yankees fifth starter. The Yankees have Phil Hughes and two pitchers at the lower level who would probably be better for that spot, but are almost required to throw Burnett because of salary.
Lucky for Burnett, we're not in Venezuela. Venezuelan Yankee fans would solve the problem themselves by kidnapping Burnett for six months.

Speaking of kidnappings.
Do you think Wilson Ramos will have much tolerance for a pitcher getting blasted in a game and crying about it?

I want some of those 'Happy Pills' that the MLB Channel producers give to their on-air personalities. Nothing is that funny on their shows, but you wouldn't know it by watching them.

Lets see, I wanna come up with a fake name....Fausto!...That's it!
Fausto Carmona becomes the only payer in baseball named Fausto and not named Fausto.
That, will be a great trivia question.
Carmona was a little relieved...."I'm a little happy, my Heredia fastball is a lot better than my Carmona fastball!"

Ryan Braun's defense boils down to, 'I didn't do it'.
Millions of dollars will be spent on lawyers and in the end, it'll be, 'I didn't do it'
It's a little like the Presidential candidates, or any political race nowadays.
They spend millions of dollars on advertising.
All it comes down to is, 'He's a bigger creep than I am'.

They're Baaaccckkkk!
Offseason reports about how players are coming to camp in the best shape of their life. I remember an interview last year in spring training with Tulo and CarGo. Tulo marveled at how chiseled CarGo was.
Now, CarGo says he's in better shape....Again.
Aubrey Huff did pilates. Ooooohh!
How can he peddle his way to getting around on an inside fastball?
Does it all matter?
Hit or pitch the ball and don't get hurt.
Simple.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
