Well I made the last pick for Team 3 - so I will come back with another one. Dan took the C that this team could use and the last really good ones. The best bats around are 1B/OF types and Team three has enough of those right now - so let's give him another SP - and a nice grab here - Madison Bumgarner SP SF.

Lets grab a second SP for Team 4....Brandon Beachy as an SP2. Not too shabby

Since Dough was kind enough to get this thing started I thought perhaps this would be a good place to tell some of my NFBC homies about some real NFBC mocks I've done lately over at MDC. I just finished one and saw the same team (that I was flabbergasted to see had won by alot last night) had indeed won again tonight. I swear I didn't even realize this guy, "Dream Team" was in tonight's draft til another guy in the chatbox commented how terrible the projections have to be, esp based on the guy who was winning, Mr. Dream Team.

The startling thing to me is the guy basically picked the same exact team, I mean he musta had 21, 22 (of 23) the same players. Why someone would take the time to draft the same team so he could "win" a mock draft  I'm just at a loss..why waste your time?

here is the dream team by the way (only diff. is I know Loney was on the other championship team, meh..Loney, Morel what's the diff  )

C - Santana/Olivo
1B - Cuddyer
2B - Zobrist
SS - Hanley
3B - Morel
CI - DLee
MI - Dee G
U - Jeter
OF - Cargo/B-Up/Bourjos/Lahair/JD Mart.

the pitching staff is where he gets real cute, as he basically starts taking pitchers from rd 10 all the way to 19 (only exception was to make sure he got the mighty Olivo in rd 18 !) so starting at rd 10 - Holland/League/Kenley/CLewis/Vazquez/Baker/Dickey/B.Norris/G. Floyd

thats rt. rd 14 for Javier Vazquez, dream team ain't about missing on a guy who's probably retired...even tho if you wanted to take a flier on him he's there in the 20's....nope gotta make sure I win this mock  I guess its pathetic to be doing mocks , but at least I play it straight, well I punt stuff sometimes, but I don't pick the same team every time..that shit is just creepy

Look at me I won............NOTHING ;)

and while I'm here let's help out team 5...they've got a great IF w/ McCann behind the plate, Wright at 3B, Tulo at SS, Weeks at 2B, too early to go 1B now..and even tho the lil guy w/ the halo on my shoulder is saying "take a pitcher", the devil is much louder, he usually is

he says grab that boy who beat me in the fiddle contest

best blend of power & speed that a .240 ave can buy

Team 6 is heavy in the OF, light in the inf.
Another SP wouldn't be out of line, but how about......

OK football is over, and I picked up my fantasy baseball magazine yesterday. Let's keep this mock draft from dying here, boys.

The next pick is JAYSON WERTH, look for an improved second season on an improving Nationals team.

Team 9 building a nice lineup . . . We'll take Adam Jones here - he's slid too far.

Lot's of different directions for team 10 to go here, but let's go Heath Bell now to avoid the stampede later.

Team 11 is lacking in the OF.

How about C. Young

And at 7-12, I'll keep team 12's fascination with AL East players alive by taking Derek Jeter to play on the left side of the field with Tom Brady's new Bro-in-law, Kevin (They're not saying Youk) Youkilis.

Team 13 needs a SS and they are going fast - give him Alexei Ramirez SS, CHW

don't think I saw this name yet, hoping Roy's whip minimizes the damage, for team 14:

SP G. Gonzalez, Wsh

Team 14 -H.Ram-Halladay-Hosmer-Bourn-D.Ortiz-C. Hart

Team 15 -Pedrioa-Verlander-D. Jennings-A.Rod-Konerko-B.Phillips

Hate to see the Verlander play early not get backed up with another quality SP and I was debating a couple.....

So why not take both: D Hudson and T Hanson :ugeek:
