Early Stuff......
Some drafted him early the second week for THE ALMIGHTY WIN= Colon an answer, then Colon a cancer.
Who leads the Majors in homers?
Yoenis Cespedes? Nope, Josh Beckett.
By that same reckoning, Dan Haren is hitting .458
And again by that same reckoning, Yovani Gallardo has been the best fantasy player with four homers and two stolen bases
Before being too disheartened by a bad hitting start....Only 35 players even have 10 at bats
Three players with at least 10 at bats have no hits....Kotchman, Headley, and Hundley
Mark DeRosa is zero for seven....And still healthy enough for more of this kind of production
'Mark Reynolds Award' goes to Cespedes....Leading baseball in homersand strike outs
Already a stat category filler....Matt Kemp is .462/5/1/6/1
Albert Pujols has struck out twice.....Same as Adam Dunn
Chad Billingsley has the longest start.....Raise your hand if you saw that coming.....me neither
Only five one game pitchers have given up at least nine hits in one start this year.....Look at this list....Haren, Josh Johnson, Shields, Kennedy, and Luebke
All for fun....For those with great starts, you're on your way.....For those with rough starts, better days are ahead

Re: Time is on our Side, Unless we're in First Place
Over the years I've had teams that started hot and hated knowing the inevitability of the cool down. I've had teams that started cold and hated having to wait for my sample to size.
So I developed a little coping mechanism where I make a list of things that aren't going to happen.
Omar Infante is not going to hit 3 more home runs than Albert Pujols and Justin Upton combined
Jeff Samardjiza is not going to strike out 250, win 30 and be the NL Cy Young
The Red Sox will not finish the season with 0 saves
Justin Verlander, James Shields, Tim Lincecum, Yovani Gallardo and Josh Johnson combined will not win two fewer games than Duane Below
Zack Cozart won't hit .500. Nick Hundley won't hit .000.
etc

Don't be so sure....they said the same things about Jose Bautista two years ago and Adam Dunn last year. Look what that got them.
