This is such a strange part of the fantasy year. In real life, players are moving from team to team in free agent signings or trades. In the meantime, we are drafting these players and hope our reckonings of where a player lands is correct.
If Kevin Youkilis signs with the Yankees, does this improve his fantasy hopes?
Wherever he lands, Youkilis will be Youkilis. He'll have 'dog ate my homework' type injuries. You know, the unexplainable injury that screams I'd rather sit than play. To think that the Yankees are going from the likeable, gregarious Swisher to the 'World owes me a living' Youkilis is humorous to me.
Youkilis takes two letters from the word 'team' and capitalizes them.
They are 'M' and 'E', ME.

Ben Revere lands in Philly. Philly likes their judys. They've had Bourn. They've had Pierre. Now they've got Revere.
Nothing to see here.
The real question is how does Vance Worley do in the American League?
In my eyes, he dominates....for a month or so.
Worley came on like gangbusters for the Phils. He has a little bit of a goofy delivery and once National Leaguers caught on, Worley became hittable.
The larger park helps Worley as well.
I heard one 'Expert' on XM radio say that he'll be a better pitcher throwing to Joe Mauer.
What a Maroon!
Minnesota pitchers were a revolving door last year.
All throwing to Mauer.
Mauer is a great player, but throwing to him does not make a pitcher any better.

My friend, Dayton Moore, has a starting staff of Ervin Santana, Jeremy Guthrie, Bruce Chen, and Luke Hochevar.
Ok, quit laughing.
That really is his rotation.
It's going to be fun seeing him get fleeced for Wil Myers.
Myers, like Hosmer and Moustakas, is a can't miss prospect.
And Moore is seeing that 'can't miss' prospects....miss.
At least in the short term.
I'm guessing he will trade Myers and get a two year rental like James Shields or somebody of that ilk.
That deal would have already been made, but Tampa is smart enough to know that Moore would probably even give them more.....these GM's are smart....Moore, not so much.
And an oh by the way, during Moore's reign (of terror) as the Royals GM, the Royals are the only American League team during that time span not to have a .500 team at least once.
The actor should be named Dayton, the GM, Dudley.

It's weird seeing the Yankees pinch pennies. The younger Steinbrenner is Potter to his father's, George Bailey.
George Steinbrenner did not care about luxury tax or what others said about the Yankees buying talent.
He wanted what was best for his community, not Bedford Falls, for Steinbrenner, it was Yankee Stadium.
He wanted the best team, money be damned.
The younger Steinbrenner is a bottom liner.
Slowly, turning Yakee Stadium into Pottersville.
He's been hurt by the ARod signing and probably does not figure to get his money's worth from Sabathia.
Yankee Stadium seats are the highest priced in baseball. That is because of the legacy.
In the past, those seats were paid for by individuals who pay to see the best.
This year, that 'best' may be a guy like Kevin Youkilis.
Slowly, Yankee fans will realize they are being gypped.

How much difference does a year make?
If both were free agents a year ago, Brian Wilson would be the premier Closer available through free agency, not Rafael Soriano.
Real life GM's mirror fantasy owners in this regard.
There simply is more trust in Soriano than Wilson.
Wilson has rode the beard to commercials and goofy fans and teammates with fake and real facial growth, but will it translate to another year of good closing?
The answer is ' I don't know'.
My guess is that he signs a one year deal to prove himself with somebody like the Mets.
The Mets are always at the top of every rumor list, since they are a big market team with needs at every position but third base.
Soriano represented by Boras, is waiting for Boras to talk Detroit. Detroit shut down during the World Series last year and could not blame their woes on Valverde.
But even if they had hit, the game might have been in Valverde's hands.
A scary thought.
It's hard to believe that Soriano does not eventually sign with Detroit.
The Tigers are a team with one gaping hole and they know it.
And worse, so does Boras.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
