From April to May...That's Life

Our teams are all 'broken in now'. We either feel good about our teams. Bad about our teams.
Or have no better clue than we did on Draft Day.
It's funny how fantasy baseball works sometimes....
We felt sorry for those that drafted Jason Motte on March 23. The news of his elbow was less than 24 hours old and the extent of the injury was blurry.
At the same time, Wise Guys were drafting Mitchell Boggs, knowing he was first in line to succeed Motte if Motte's elbow could not be fixed.
They would have been better off drafting Motte, at least Motte hasn't killed pitching ratios.
More than 50 players have scored more runs this year than Mike Trout.
That's the bad news for Trout owners.
The good news is the same thing was true last year at this time....
Carnac the Magician ...
He says, "Yasiel Puig, Geico Pig, and Porky Pig"
Opening the envelope....
"Name three Pigs that should not be driving..."
Justin Upton has kept up his incredible solo homer barrage.
11 of 12 of his homers have been sex without a partner.
Leaving his fantasy owners with the same type of feelings.....
Trout owners thought they'd have the best lead off hitter in baseball.
Well they do if they also drafted Austin Jackson, Choo, Crisp, or McLouth.....
Chris Carter has 88 at bats.
Chris Carter has 43 strike outs.
When putting the ball in play, Chris Carter is hitting over .400
Chris Carter is petitioning MLB to eliminate strike outs......
BJ Upton is hitting .151
Chris Johnson could go 0 fer his next 100 at bats and have a better average than BJ....
How many rounds are Matt Carpenter and Ben Zobrist worth to their drafters?
Not only can they play just about anywhere, they are producing too.
I've had these type of players in the past, the only bad thing is trying to replace them when injured.
Total headache.....
All April team....
C- John Buck
C- Wilin Rosario
1B- Chris Davis
2B- Robinson Cano
3B- Miguel Cabrera
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
MI- Brandon's Phillips or Crawford
CI- Prince Fielder
OF- Coco Crisp
OF- Justin Upton
OF- Bryce Harper
OF- Dexter Fowler
OF- Adam Jones
U- Shin Soo Choo
Three First rounders in Cabrera, Cano, and Fielder
Four First-Second rounders in Tulo, Harper, and Upton, and Jones.
Most of the rest between the third and 15th rounds
Buck and Crawford win the Bargains of the Month Awards....
As for Pitchers-
SP- Matt Harvey
SP- Clay Buchholz
SP- Matt Moore
SP- Yu Darvish
SP- Adam Wainwright
SP- Clayton Kershaw
SP- Felix Hernandez
I know, I know, you're fav pitcher wasn't mentioned like Iwakuma, or Annabelle Sanchez, or AJ Burnett, or Lester...
Too bad, make your own list
CL- Jim Johnson
CL- Jason Grilli
These were easy picks. We take Closers for Saves. These two have more Saves than every other Closer.
I'm waiting to see if the Royals will fix Billy Butler. Butler is being 'Votto'd'. Teams are pitching around him with the likes of Mike Moustakas hitting in back of him.
Escobar
Cain
Butler
Gordon
That start to their lineup may serve them better.
And I'm sure Cain owners would agree....
For those of you who feel great about their teams, maybe a little too great...
There is one song I think about as we move from April to May.
From the great Frank Sinatra, 'That's Life'.
And the line is, 'Riding high in April, shot down in May'....
Good luck all, and this week will be better than the last.....
Or have no better clue than we did on Draft Day.
