I was afraid that when a Boston fan didn't get Dempster that it was too 'out there'.

Rock band has to be a player whose name is like a band name since all the musicians (other then Arroyo) have been mentioned. Carlos Santana is more of an artist and not really rock. Kyle Seager would work but I don't exactly relate him to Bob minus the a, Corey Hart would need the requisite sunglasses reference, Oscar Taveras is too esoteric.

It is Arroyo for rock star. Too vague, my bad.

That leaves 'the catch'.
It is not an over the shoulder, back to the field catch.
But, for a time, probably more than a year, it was simply referred to as 'the catch'.
And you're right, the player is still current.

this whole catch thing is beating me up. I can recall a hand few of really good ones,and do recall hearing one simply referred to as the catch but cant place it. sam fuld had a few nice ones. Dewane wise I think to save a no hitter,If memory serves correctly wasnt there a pretty amazing catch in matt cains no-no also? Trout robbing a hr?

That catch was 'the catch' for almost a year and still is in the Chicago area.
