For those of us familiar with doing a lot of 50 round drafts....Quick, which healthy player seemed to spend the most time at the top of the que, being bypassed constantly by teams....

Alex Gonzalez had a walk off hit today....I fully expect John Buck to have a great week too.
Both may even be faab'ed at high prices next Sunday.....

Max Scherzer and Yu Darvish are the two best pitchers in baseball, who have never thrown an Opening Day game....

Billy Hamilton had more strike outs than some starting pitchers.
Naysayers said that Hamilton would get the bat knocked out of his hands.
Obviously wrong.....

Reds batters had five walks today.
Joey Votto did not have one.....

Lindstrom, KRod are Closers....
Yesterday, they were not....
This is why we do not over draft iffy Closers.....

As Grady Sizemore was circling the bases on his home run, was I alone in thinking that in a real and fantasy sense, is he is living on borrowed time?....

What a freakin great month Jimmy Rollins has had!!!
In the last 30 days, he has pissed off his boss, had a baby, and hit a grand slam on Opening Day.
He is living my dream....

Personal note-
I had to buy a cell phone. A new job required it.
I've had it for a couple of weeks.
Today, I decided to do my first text. It was to Rog.
We share Bonifacio on a few teams, so I spoke into the microphone...
"Text Rog....Bonifacio is having a good game".
I laughed my ass off and showed my wife what my phone heard. She laughed harder than I did, because she was prompting me to make the text.
According to the phone, I said....
'Want to fu**, I'm game'.
I know that Rog knows I'm a rookie in the texting game, just the same, I'm glad it was never sent.....

Giancarlo Stanton is cut.
I'm convinced that he is the one player in baseball who gets drafted higher because of his chiseled features.
But putting Stanton in Miami's park is like putting Meryl Streep in a Muppets Movie.

I don't care how old they are or how much experience they have.
I find it damned hard to find a better hitter than Mike Trout or a better pitcher than Jose Fernandez....

Re: Mike Trout.... in the online Primetime Sunday someone took Cabrera over Trout with #1 pick. Historically great first two years, 23 years old with 30 HR power and 40 steal speed with a short, compact stroke that results in line drive after line drive and you take a bad body 31 yeard old with no speed who is due for a regression. Why people feel the need to pass up the obvious is beyond me. WhileI obviously would love Cabrera, no way I pass on Trout. I wonder how many drafts there were where Trout did not go Number 1. Happy Opening Day.
