More Early Stuff

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Tue Apr 15, 2014 3:08 pm

Carlos Santana has one rbi....just like Dustin Pedroia

Miguel Cabrera has four rbi....Madison Bumgarner has five

Xavier Nady has two homers....the KANSAS CITY ROYALS have one

The Diamondbacks have played the most games in baseball, 16...they also have as many losses as total games for some teams

The Tigers, in 16 days, have played 10 games

The Brewers are 6-0 on the road....the Diamondbacks are 1-9 at home

120 different players have scored at least six runs....none of them play for the Kansas City Royals

The Royals have struck out less than any team in baseball.......

The White Sox have struck out almost twice as much as the Royals....And scored more than twice as many runs

Five players in baseball have at least five homers....so do the TEXAS RANGERS

BJ Upton is hitting .180.....the HOUSTON ASTROS are hitting .189

Pedro Alvarez has two singles this year....that's ok, he has five homers

Allen Craig is hitting .133 with no homers....that is not ok

Brett Lawrie has six hits and batting .122....his owners won't complain WHEN he gets hurt

Zack Cozart is hitting .105 in 38 at bats. He has one walk.....smart pitchers

No hitter with double digit walks is hitting .300......only two of those nine hitters are even hitting .240

Dee Gordon has 16 hits, four walks, and nine stolen bases....he has scored just five runs

Mark Trumbo is hitting just .219....he has 10 runs scored

Don't depend on others for runs scored

BJ Upton has one rbi in 50 at bats....he hit a solo homer

I hope you drafted Brian Dozier and Alexie Ramirez high....they are the only two players in baseball with at least three homers and three stolen bases

Carlos Santana is second in baseball with 14 bases on balls....Carlos Santana has one rbi

Mike Trout has been very quiet in April...his owners are begging for a USA Today story

As a Trout owner I'll have to disagree on the last one.

He's still hitting .296 with nine runs, four bombs and seven RBI.

Hasn't swiped a base yet, but has had very few opportunities with second base unoccupied, those will come.

I'm a Trout owner too, Dave

Ha! Me too!

Doing this 'early stuff' only serves to illustrate just how early in the season it is. :D

Hey Dan...did you see that Neil Walker currently projects out to have as many home runs and stolen bases as Mike Trout? :P
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
