3 Questionable Players

I've got questions and only partial answers about three players.
Currently, there are money drafts being done by NFBC participants.
In the past, I've found these drafts to answer questions in where players will be picked. Still, there is lingering doubts..........
Oscar Taveras- Is he a 4A player? Is he a future star?
The Cardinals have played a crappy Allen Craig and a less renowned Randall Grichuk. Grichuk hit all of .245 during the season, .188 in the playoffs.
And, the big question for us is...If the Cards don't know what to do with Taveras, what do WE do with Taveras?
Most kids with his minor league credentials would be taken in the first few rounds. Some players don't have to prove themselves at the major league level for drafters to take them.
Some, like Brett Lawrie or Jean Segura make a splash, then turn to kryptonite for drafters.
If Taveras 'splashes and dashes', his owners of this year won't care. They'll enjoy the splash.
I'm just wondering if he even has a splash in him.
What the Hell is Javier Baez?
Is he the 'Little Burro' to Adam Dunn's Big Donkey?
Is he Brett Boone?
One thing is for certain, if he were running for office, the Numerish would put up their own candidate to run against him.
The Numerish do not like strike outs. Strike outs are related to all sorts of numbers, including contact rate.
It is a four to one bet that if Javier Baez was a high school kid on a date in a movie theater, trying to cop his first feel, he would get elbow, thinking it to be breast.
He misses a lot.
But after several similar dates, he'll spend a long lustful night with the head cheerleader.
And that is what Baez is.
Do all the misses make up for the one night of lust?
That, is for us to judge.
What I do know, is if he swings and misses too much, without making contact, the Cubs will send him down for a possible change in approach.
I hope it doesn't come to that.
Baez can be compared to Rob Deer. Deer also had a 'swing hard, in case I hit something' approach. It paid Deer's salary for several years. And like Baez, Deer rubbed a lot of girls elbows...and they still wonder why.
What is Carl Crawford?
We know he is one of the highest paid players in baseball.
We know that he hasn't played much or well since becoming one of the highest paid players in baseball.
The Dodgers can't trade him unless they give him away and pay most of his salary. So what he becomes is a blocker for Joc Pederson.
We don't know what Pederson is either. He highly succeeded in the Pacific Coast League.
Which is like a cat doing well in a closet with 20 mice.
Crawford gets 'rest' every two or three days when he is healthy. I think that next year, he becomes Andre Ethier. An expensive outfield part who is not really needed. Like Ethier, I don't think that he will help much in a fantasy sense. But will play just enough to retard possible large growth for Pederson.
