Sunday, Bloody Sunday

And that's ok. I don't expect them to understand.
Some times, I'll ask myself why I have over 20 teams. The answers are various.
1. I love the draft.
2. I love the NFBC folks I draft with.
3. I love the day-to-day obsessive feel.
4. I love the draft.
The things I don't like about having so many teams is not so various. Here's the list...
1. Sunday.
Sunday is FAAB day. It's the day that we are FORCED to pay time and attention to each of our teams.
Even with lineup deadlines on Monday or Friday, we can have lineups in place and fine tune them before games. It doesn't take near the time or energy.
Sunday's are different.
Sometimes I don't even want to start looking at faab. I'll stare at the available names for a little bit and say, "Screw it! I'll do it later."
Then, later comes and I feel like I don't have enough time.
I'm a bit excited about getting new players, which doesn't seem to make up for the annoyance in purchasing those players.
I've tried different methods.
The 'Get it done before Sunday' approach.
The 'Buckle down and get it done Sunday morn' approach.
The 'Wait till the last hour' approach.
But nothing seems to work for me other than the 'Do it Sunday and fine tune up till deadline' approach.
It's tough. We have to have wives and family that understand. Without that, we are forced not to put as much energy or time that faab needs.
Our wives really don't understand faab at all. They only know that it is important to our well being.
And in turn, I feel selfish.
My wife only knows that it is a deadline and that I have to have my time on Sunday.
The bids themselves, are amusing to me. I don't know how you guys look at it, but I'll look at my most important leagues the most closest to the deadline. And something will kick in my brain to either adjust a dollar amount down or up.
In my case, it is almost always up.
I'll think to myself that some other conniving owner is after the same player I want. And my original bid of $17 goes to 23.
And why am I so afraid to do even numbers for my bids?
Maybe I'm thinking others will.
As for the bids themselves, I don't care what the second place bidder bid. If I bid $66 on a player and nobody else bid on that player, I tell myself that the rest of the league did not pick up on the quality of the player like I did.
No big deal.
It does peeve me when I see that I was the second place bidder. Especially if it is close. For the lack of a couple more dollars I could have had MY player. Now, he'll be used against me.
I hate looking at the list of players trying to find a player. When searching a player, it should have his free agent # beside his name. It would make things much easier for me.
It never seems like I can find these names fast enough and when owning a lot of teams, the problem multiplies.
September Sundays are worse. Football has begun. We are looking at football, while keeping a wary eye on baseball games,
Then, have to contend with the deadline.
It's tough.
I'm a novice, comparatively, at fantasy football compared to others who are reading this.
How they justify watching football all day, while following their fantasy baseball and football, then turn attention to the deadline, to their family has got to be a very hard thing to accomplish.
On Sunday, I sometimes think the general public are right,
I'll look at the task of bidding on faab and even give myself a
