NFBC Stuff

Trevor Story had more homers than 74 NFBC Main Event teams.
SABR darling playerof the week- Eugenio Suarez
Suarez hit over .400, hit four homers, drew three walks and only struck out once.
Good enough for player of the week, but that's another Story.
Catchers were bad. Very bad.
Posey, the only catcher with more than one homer.
Only three catchers had both three rbi and three runs-
Posey, McCann, and Cervelli.
If starting Chris Stewart and Saltylablahblah, you would have had a .444 Avg, 2 hr, 5 rbi
Russell Martin, Derek Norris, Welington Castillo, Jon Lucroy, Dev Mesoraco, Jason Castro, Alex Avila, Cameron Rupp and Hank Conger had a combined 144 at bats.....0 rbi
Ah Choo!
Usually a sneeze, yesterday an NFBC cry.
You want an 'on pace' stat?
Fine.
Corey Seager had the most at bats with 30 this week.
He is on pace for zero homers and stolen bases.
Last year at this time, Adrian Gonzalez owners were basking in Gonzalez leading the world in home runs.
This year, he leads the world in hits, but nary a homer.
Trevor Story has seven homers....and seven runs.
In the "C'mon! Give me something!" category...C J Cron was 2-22 with no counting stats....
Mike Trout did not score a run ....
Gregory Polanco leads the Majors with nine walks...he scored four times
DJ LeMahieu has not walked...he scored seven times
Three (Story, Donaldson, Suarez) of the top four (Cano) home run hitters hit second in their lineups...
In the "Go ahead, don't re-sign Encarnacion!" department....
Josh Donaldson has been Toronto's designated hitter 10 times.
In those games, Donaldson has five homers 12 rbi 13 runs
Dallas Keuchel averaged less than two walks per nine innings last year.
This year, over seven base on balls per nine innings.
KJ's 22 homers leads the NFBC Main Event.
Rostered are Story, Donaldson, and Cano.
George Kleeman's (get well, George!) team leads with a 1.49 ERA
Rostered are Kershaw, Maeda, Pomeranz, and Hammel.
The RotoWire team had 79 K's
Led by Kennedy, Archer, and Cueto
Bryan Paul and Vince Clemente's team had 10 stolen bases, led by Altuve and Marte.
When the NFBC began in 2004 and continued in 2005 and beyond, some teams maintained a .300 batting avg over the course of a year.
Now, with pitchers in more control and batters going for home runs and striking out more, a .300 Avg for an NFBC team is a pipe dream.
Imagine this- Only 19 teams of 450 in the NFBC have .300 batting averages after just one week.
Todd and Luke Whitestone have their team hitting .179
'Contributing' are Mookie Betts, Jason Castro, Rougned Odor, and Brad Miller.
The Golden State Warriors are the first professional basketball or baseball team (post 1900) to go through a whole season without back to back losses.
Jeremy Hellickson, hardly drafted, outpitched Raciel Iglesias and Matt Harvey, drafted hardly.
Ross Ohlendorf is tied for most Wins (2)in baseball...
His ERA?.... 9.00
Of the top 20 Overall teams in the Main Event, nine drafted from the 10-15 slots....
