Stuff...

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Wed Apr 13, 2016 1:34 am

11 days after the season began, we may have our very first day with all teams playing.
Every team has been scheduled before, but there was a postponement(s).

The Dodgers bullpen has not thrown even half the innings of their Starting compadres.
Yet, they have given up more runs.

The Rockies Starters have an E.R.A. close to 8.00
Some slow-pitch softball hurlers have better.

Trevor Brown has three homers.
He leads ALL catchers.
Not drafted.
Not on most NFBC teams.
We're just not that smart.

Jeanmar Gomez has three Saves.
Those who say the arm is more important than the job has never made a FAAB bid.

I haven't heard one person care that Trevor Story has struck out 11 times in seven games.
When a fellow is not hitting well and striking out a lot, strike outs cause the damage.
When a fellow is hitting well and striking out a lot, strike outs are collateral damage.

Speaking of striking out, Miguel Sano has struck out 13 times in 22 at bats.
Buxton, 11 times in 22 at bats.
If Buxton keeps this up, he may lose his #1 prospect tag that he's had for the last 13 years.
I know it's not 13 years! It just feels like it!

Not to be outdone by teammates, Asian import Byung Ho Park has struck out 12times in 21 at bats.
Spelled frontwards or backwards that is Krap.

How does Tampa do it?
They trade for and sign crappy hitters.
And Voila! Make them even worse!
Brad Miller and Logan Morrison are a combined 2 for 41.
Way to go, Rays!

Asdrubal Cabrera and Travis d'Arnaud get the 'Elephant Man' award.
Neither have scored all season.

Jonathon Lucroy has a Ruthian zero rbi.
That is, Ruth circa 2016.

Kole Calhoun has a .346 batting average and a .414 on base percentage
SABRS are probably swooning.
What is REALLY swooning is his production.
What good is .346/.414 if having one measley rbi and two runs?

Matt Harvey has five K's in two Starts.
In 2015, Harvey never had two starts in a row that resulted in less than seven strike outs.
Bladder Up!

Zach Duke has been in a Major League high of five games.
He's pitched one full inning.
You do the math.

How is D J LeMahieu the same as....
Sacramento, Denver, Atlanta, and Phoenix?
Four capitals.

Freddie Freeman has walked seven times.
He has scored once from those walks.
The Braves are 0-7.
Do the math.

Jean Segura is hitting .387
He has three homers and two steals.
He has six runs and five rbi.
Segura has yet to walk.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
