Aaron Judge struck out 39 times in July. A Yankee record.
Judge held the record by striking out 37 times in June.
StatCast has concluded that Judge's strike outs go farther than other hitter's.
The strike outs will fuel sabr toothed writers appetites for next year's prognostications in tempering expectations on Judge.
Sabrs will be the last to admit that harder swings mean more home runs and strike outs.
And that a majority of players are now, swinging hard.

Adrian Beltre got his 3000th hit.
'No shit, Dan?'
I know, I know, the media overdoes every milestone, don't they?
In every article, they list the other foreign-born players to reach 3000 hits. As if Beltre has to be connected to those other individuals.
He should be connected to Derek Jeter.
Beltre and Jeter are the only members of the 3000 hit club who have won five Gold Glove awards.
Unlike Jeter, Beltre earned his Gold Gloves.

Last year, 25 qualified players hit for a .300 batting average or more.
10 of those 25 struck out more than 100 times

Last year, 38 hitters walloped 30 homers.
31 of 38 had more than 100 strike outs.

The only consistency in Villar's game from 2016 to 2017 is his caught stealing....He led baseball last year...
This year, he is tied for second most CS....

If rightly platooned vs southpaws this year....Lamb would have these stats....305/54/19/71/3
Nearly half of Lamm's at bats vs. lefties have resulted in a strike out.....

Every hitter with an OBP of over .400 has double digit homers....
A reminder that OBP is not AVG/BB driven, but driven by power....

Picking on the BB stat one more time because this one floors me.

Dee Gordon hits .297, has one homer and has walked just 19 times.....
Votto has scored 68 runs....Gordon....67 runs......

Sometimes... a lot of the times.....Especially with a hitter of Joey Votto's calibre....
Walks are defensive weapons....Sabrs don't see the big picture....
