Looking forward to meeting everyone. Just curious if we can get a bio on everyone? My name is Brian Brandt and I live about 60 miles outside of Las Vegas in Pahrump. I've been a dealer at the Venetian just down the road from the Stardust since they opened in 1999. I've been doing fantasy baseball and football for about 17 years now and I'm looking forward to taking this major step up to see where I stand with the best of the best. Hope we can all share a drink before, during or after the draft, whatever you're preference might be. See you all there.

I'm Dan Kenyon, my wife, Mitzi, and I live in Colorado and leave today on a road trip to visit our daughter in San Diego and drop in to Vegas on the way back. This will be my 2nd year with the NFBC, easily the best site for fantasy baseball, you'll love the experience, Brian.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I'm heading out for 5 nights at the wonderful MGM Mirage. Me and a bunch of of my friends make this our annual trip. "Fantasy Vegas 06". This will be our 3rd trip to sin city in March. My partner competeted in the Ultimate league last year and we have teams in main event/ultimate/and auction. Whats better than being in your late 20's and making a annual trip to vegas for fantasy and march madness and booze and women. Cant freaking wait, see you all out there.

Hey - Pete here with pick 6.... Been making contributions to the winners since the beginning

Flying in from Jersey with my 15 year old son and my nephew (22) Friday morning. Can't wait.

To the Venetian guy.... Great hotel. But, give me back my money that I think you took from me at the tables - Love the Venetian, but with the kids on this trip it's TheHotel at Mandalay Bay, much more family oriented.

Can't wait for the draft. Donating to the $650 AL Auction too. Sweet!

Red Sox guy.... better take Ortiz or Manny with pick 4 as neither will be back to you later.

P.S. - Team 15 may look like a nice couple; but they really are a couple of SHARKS. They came in 2nd OVERALL last year. Keep a close eye on them.... It was their first NFBC too...

Hey Pete! What are you talking about??? I'm hoping A-Fraud falls to 4 so i can take him there. I really want him and Sheff this year. I know about Doughboys, lets see if he can do it 2 years in a row.

I'm going to guess that the people in this league have a little more respect for the "newbie" player than others on the board. It appears Mr. Kenyon is our living proof that just because you are a "newbie" to the NFBC you can still be a force to be reckoned with. It just cracks me up. I've been doing this stuff for 17 years and have done every which style and size of league and people on the board would still be foaming at the mouth to be in a league with 14 just like me because this is my first go at this particular event. I guess it's an advantage to be taken lightly, if you want to look at it that way. By the looks of our LV2 forum, it appears everyone is respectful of everyone else so far. I like that.

Hi guys!

Pick #3 here, I live in Southern California(for the next 4 months, then on to Maine). I too have been a dealer, but here in CA. on an Indian Reservation for 10 years, self employed now. Started playing Fantasy sports in 1983 after reading Glenn Wagoners book "Rotisserie League Baseball". That original league we started lasted for 13 years with a waiting list almost every year. Joined NFBC last year and I am a regular reader of the message boards(more entertainment value than most programs on TV), but seldom post.

Arriving in Vegas Thursday afternoon, looking forward to meeting all of you. Probably find me playing Blackjack at the Excalibur.

Good Luck to all!

BC is red hot; but still needs to prove they can play long into March Madness. Somehow they tend to lose earlier than they should. I will wish them luck this year though, as I have them in the elite 8 and am tempted to move them into the final four. What to do, what to do...

Speaking of what to do.... I have about 7 different scenarios to pick from with the 6th pick. If I could trade down I would gladly do so.

Also, I take no newbie lightly. Heck, I did better my first season than I did my second. If that trend line continues I should be sitting near the bottom this year. Nothing would surprise me.

See you guys this weekend.

Pete,

Thanks for the wishful thinking. I love BC getting past Nova especially if that guys eye is not 100% recovered. Could be interesting.

I will gladly trade you my pick 4 for your pick 6! Wish we could.

Oh well looks like i'll be stealing ......... from you a couple of times and vice versa. 4,6 picks right near each other. hmmmmmmm

Hey Pete, saw your posts about trading places. Just curious what your thoughts about the best place to draft from -- looks like you were all over the place in the satellites.

Sorry I'll miss you this year for baseball -- won't be the same without you and Matt (Big Fish) in the same league again. Good luck and hopefully I'll catch you in New York this fall for football.

King - Actually I was only in 2 satellite leagues; got pick 2 in each. Speed went so fast that nobody was left to take at 2.14. Persobnally, somewhere around pick 12 was nice. Could insure you got Reyes, Figgins or Pierre from that spot.

Anyway, the draft is over and now starts the real deal. Can't wait to see where I'm at after a few weeks go by.

Good luck to you too.

Sox - I bet $100 on the BC girls to beat ND this past weekend. They were getting a point and crushed ND. Easy money. Wish I had bet even more...

Looks like you are full of Sox. I wish I had taken a couple more from you.

Congrats to all of us in LV 2. We finished the draft well ahead of everyone else. I think for better or worse, we were all prepared and ready to pick even if the guy right before us stole our pick.

Great job. Great gang working the boards was a blessing too.Hats off to the three of them!

Best of luck to all of us.

Back home in sweet old BeanTown. "I love that dirty water!" I do have a few sox players huh? How can you not take these guys and now with the addition of Wily Mo in our lineup I can see Loretta scoring 120 runs this year. Love the lineup. Great draft everyone and good luck to everyone.

5 nights in vegas and a whole lot of money later I think i could sleep right up until opening day. I really like my team and I think with Tex/Haf/Lee as first 3 my team name should be "chicks dig the long ball"

BC men and women will win it all.

Hey, pick #7 here. Fun draft. Would have been more fun if Pete hadn't taken my planned guy five of the first six opportunities he had. I was especially fond of the triple pop in Round 3 with my three targets going to 4-5-6 ahead of me. I went on tilt and selected Sheets. F!!!

I didn't like my team after the first break, but I was able to make up a lot of ground in the later rounds. (Burgos at 30!)

Overall, I like my team, but way too much risk. I could finish anywhere.

I can't view the teams, yet, but I remember being a fan of #15 and #8. And, obviously, Pete's team!

PS BC loses tomorrow to your future champs - 'Nova!
