My Bats From Hell team picked #15 and won Chicago League 3. So far the only team to ever pick #15 and win a league title.

Hey there everybody-

Pick 4 here.

Plymouth, was that me you were referring to or the guy with the first pick?

I'm thinking we were in the same league in Vegas correct?

Hello All...12th pick here. Looks like a tough league, with 3 owners in the Top 90 in Lifetime standings. Looking forward to it.

Anyone staying over until Sunday 3/19 who might want to catch a game that afternoon? The Yanks are at home against Cleveland and seats are still available (but down the outfield line). Much better seating is available for Minnesota at Tampa (gee, there's a surprise...). Might be a great way to spend the day, featuring a key element of the roto ritual: talking trash about all of the other owners in the league who aren't sitting there with you ("can you believe he spent $16 on Hanley Ramirez?"). ;)

Post if you're interested, we'll see if we can get a group together. Looking forward to meeting all of you next Saturday!

Brian, BEF .......

Did you use the Storm ticket??

I took the wife and kids and was very disappointed with the turnout. It seems like each year the crowds grow smaller and smaller. Oh well, hope you enjoyed yourself if you did go.

And enjoy Ayala :D :D

BTW, we had a good time helping with the draft!

Wish all a good season, will be checking to see who wins this league. Enjoy!

Patrick
Patrick, I started to go and then the concierge told me that it was closer to a 30 minute walk. And then they had trouble finding my car in valet parking, so by the time I got out of the hotel it was almost 8pm. So I did the next best thing...drove up to the Hard Rock and played poker. Had a decent time, won fifty bucks (yipee), but I finally couldn't take all the smoke.

Stupid Ayala. Stupid me for not checking Rotowire before I left the hotel that morning. Oh well, at least I didn't take MacDougall in the 9th round! (sorry about that, Ray and Scott...).

And you facilitators did a great job!

So who does everone think has the best team?

Lets all vote for one team and it can't be our own.

My vote goes to team #1 Atlanta-O-Fers.

If they can overcome the loss of MacDougall, either via Timlin or FAAB, then I like Team #11 (the guys from Baseball HQ) quite a lot. I thought they got great bargains on at least half their roster, especially Huff in the 6th, Loretta in the 12th, Johjima in the 14th and JJ Hardy in the 20th. A few risky players (Lowell, Wilkerson, Crede) but overall a very balanced team that's looking at Top 5 in all 10 categories.

Darn near time to throw out that first pitch. Good luck everyone. It won't be long now before those "value" picks we drafted show their true colors. But hey! the fun is just about to begin.

I see team 11 as very good in hitting but only 22 points in pitching. Last in strikeouts and a 7th place finish.
