I have a question, are MLB's 40 Man Rosters locked? Or can teams go back and change them before spring training? Sorry, hope this is not a totally stupid question. But, it could have an effect on my bidding if 40 man rosters can change.

great question red ryder... i was thinking the same..i assume they are locked..if the 40 man rosters change that could change ALOT of bidding for draft slot strategy...we await the answer from above....RT

KJ is the official word but I have to believe they are not locked. 40 man roster activity can happen right up to our March 8 draft.

MLB 40 man rosters can change - you have seen several examples if a player is signed or added via trade where they have had to release someone from the 40 man.

Not much will happen with it between now and Opening Day - abseent trades - because most players signed now are signed to minor leauge contracts with spring training invitations.

In such a case, bidding for that slot must be silent for 10 minutes (per the message board time stamp) before the bidding on that slot is final; this ensures anyone with a slow connection doesn't lose just because of their connection.
