BTW, I love Fukudome like an irrational Cubs fan!
I hope to say this about Peavy. I really wanted Berkman and his 1b/of flexibility at 2.11

I've clicked on a Yahoo's SF box score in game about 40 times this year, and EVERY time R.Winn has just got another frickin hit. I really hate this guy.
There were a few of us hoping to come away with Winn. That whole irrational runs and RBI thing that drove Tigers up the draft board was driving him down. I'm not saying it doesn't exist--he is only on pace to get about 150 combined--but that is pretty good for the round not even counting the other numbers.

I take one night off from watching games and decide to pull up rotoworld. Two more injuries and it looks like Furcal is targetting the last weekend in September to come back from his sore back. I am going to put myself on the DL due to injuries suffered from getting kicked in the nuts by Furcal for the past six weeks.

Kevin Kouzmanoff was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to a back injury.

Hiroki Kuroda has been scratched from his scheduled start Wednesday due to a sore shoulder.

He's scheduled for an MRI.

Dodgers manager Joe Torre said Tuesday that he doesn't expect Rafael Furcal back before the All-Star break.

He'll have missed at least 10 weeks with what was originally called a stiff lower back. The Dodgers are living with Angel Berroa and Luis Maza at shortstop for now, but they're expected to give Nomar Garciaparra a try next week.

Randy - from everything I read and know about the situation, I'd guess he comes back in early to mid august. Once he's allowed to begin baseball activities (hopefully in the next 2 weeks), he'll need 7-10 days of doing baseball activities and 1 week in the minors. If he suffers one more "setback", don't count on him being 'back' this year.

My gut says mid august. Sucks doesn't it. Right up there with the folks who had to endure the Tulo injury if not worse.

Yeah it sucks that Furcal was only supposed to miss a few games (he hasn't played since May 5th). The just keep stretching this thing out, and that guy is tough to replace. At least Tulo owners knew how long he would be out right away. Note to self: Don't draft anyone named Rafael next year (cut bait with R. Soriano this week). OK enough venting for now. GG, welcome to the official "LV3 reach-around" thread! :D
IF he does come back, will he still be able to swing with authority AND steal bases. tough call, but i guess we both have to hold him till the ASB and see what they news is.

either get back on the field or shutdown for the year (at least that way i can clear a roster spot)!!!

You can't go wire-to-wire Randy. You're gonna have to earn it with a whole lotta stress.

I'd rather have Tulo from here on out. At least I could cut R. Soriano and Zimmerman, but I have to keep Furcal as long as they dangle that carrot in front of me saying that he will be back in a few weeks.
You made a nice pickup of Keppinger a few weeks ago, if he comes back in form that could be huge since Hairston went down and Alex Gonzalez being week-to-week since about Spring Training - I'm starting to wonder if he'll play at all this year.

Yeah I am looking forward to Keppinger, if he hits like he did pre-injury he shouldn't see the bench. I would be suprised to see Alex Gonzalez do anything this year, but he'll probably be back before Furcal  I'm about ready for The Fisher Party!! :D

Who's winning the FAAB war in LV3?

THE GOOD (by week)

1) Main Event, Cantu $254, bid much more than needed but ultimately worth it.

1) Long Gone, Dempster $6 freakin' dollars. What a steal.

1) Big Alameda, Litsch $3

2) Main Event, D Murphy $300, again way more than needed but a great pickup.

3) Main Event, Ryan Ludwig $122, pd too much AGAIN, uncontested bid, but WOW! 3 great pickups in 3 wks

3) Long Gone, Greg Smith for $1, not bad.

4) Big Alameda, Barmes $59, nice while he lasted.

4) Mad Russians, Gavin Floyd $57 (after I dropped him, my 30th rd pick :( ). Good pickup.

4) Long Gone, Armando Galaragga $16, not looking like a flash in the pan.

6) Zefurs, Ryan Franklin $122, delived much needed SVs.

7) DIRT BAGS, Ben Francisco $235, he paid up but good production.

7) Tm Connors, Jerry Hairston $47, ton of SBs and BA 'til hurt.

7) DIRT BAGS, J Contreras $11, surprisingly good start.

8) Col Potter, S Torres $154, good closer so far and could stay there.

8) Big Alameda, Alexi Ramires $1, great pickup for practically nothing if he keeps the job.

9) DIRT BAGS, Russell Branyan $38, on a HR tear AND he's not hitting 220 as usual.

9) Zefurs, Marcus Thames $32, HR'd in 5 straight games.

10) Latham, Mike Gonzalez, picked up a SV this week and since no one can stay healthy in ATL ...

So on the plus side:

Main Event +3

Long Gone +3

DIRT BAGS +3

Big Alameda +3

Zefurs +2

Mad Russians +1

TM Connors +1

Col Potter +1

LATHAM +1

Did I miss any? criteria: must be performing at a meaningful plus level, potential doesn't count til realized.

Whip a little high, but hardly wasted..

62.0 3.629 3 1.500 30

And you didn't list Contreras and Laffey

Aaron Laffey SP 43.2 3.504 3 1.374 21

Jose Contreras SP 40.2 3.098 3 1.057 25

Sean Gallagher will be there soon too..

Brian could add four more hitters similar to A.Ramirez... ~100 ab .300 3hr 20 rbi for them all.

Blackburn better than I thought, you must've missed his blowups, he's a neutral. Laffey not good enough for the plus list but Contreras is.

Gallagher=pure speculation. He's pitching ok but not very efficient - I suspect he'll have his QS's but also a blowup here and there that bring his ratios back to neutral.
Aaron Laffey SP 43.2 3.504 3 1.374 21 = Negative WHIP offsets positive ERA, below avg Ks. If I put this kinda mediocrity on the list there would be 100 players. LOFL.

Ramirez is on the list, I guess you missed that. I'll check the others.
