New York AL Auction League

The 12-team lineup for the New York AL Auction League is official and it makes perfect sense to announce the order of the draft and determine who you will be sitting next to on Friday, March 19 at the Javits Center. This is the order that we will introduce new players and every round during the auction will be 1-12 as we will not go back up. However, in the reserve round it is a serpentine order for six rounds: 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1.
Best of luck everyone in the hunt for the $7,000 league prize:
1. Eddie Gillis
2. Alan Zimmerman
3. Peter Lukowicz
4. Rusty Tinik
5. Jeff Dobies
6. Bryan Anderson
7. Michael Pisani
8. Glenn Schroter
9. Bob Sherman
10. Andy Shane
11. Gary Sobov
12. Ralph Boscaino
I didn't list your hometowns as I thought it would be best for you guys to decide if you wanted anyone to know that. This is a GREAT group of guys and it should be a very fun, competitive league. If you don't have access to the Auction Leagues, e-mail a request to: [email protected] and they will set you up.
There will be two spots set up per team at the draft table, so four teams will be down the left side, four across the bottom and four up the right side. A six-foot draft board will be at the front for all to see and we'll have an auctioneer and a draft facilitator. The draft facilitator will write in the $ value of each pick and keep a running tally of remaining money for each team at the bottom of the board. We will likely break 3 times during the regular draft, but that's up to the participants and the auctioneer.
Please do me a favor and introduce guys at reasonable price levels. That will keep the draft moving and you guys will be done in less than six hours with everything. If you go, "Alex Rodriguez $1," you'll never get out of there. Say A-Rod for $30 at least and maybe even $35 and get the bidding to a serious level. Sound good?
Feel free to introduce yourselves and boast about winning this league title right here. You own the League Forum until Monday!
