4th, okay, alright. The top 3 decide who we take. I think I can live with that. Its the next 20+ rounds I worry about.

See you in a week. :D

Damn 14th.

A dreaded position for round one...but from then on...it's even.

I won't get the "superstars", like A-Rod, Vlad, Beltran, Abreu or Pujols...looks like you will, ITIS...Good Luck, and see you all in VEGAS!

the tough pick is 5 and 6, you get just as good of a player at 10 IMO.

[/QUOTE]Sorry for "invading" your league's forum. For me (and most others), the higher the pick, the better. It's all about having more choices.

Hello boyz.

Last year, we picked at #12, so I haven't even let myself consider drafting any higher... and then we get the #1 pick. My first reaction was that I wasn't very happy at all. BUT now we get to grab Bill Hall before any of you schmucks think about stealing him away from us.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Good luck, JT

Don't believe the hype...Pujols, Vlad and A-rod will out fantasy Beltran and his .260 average this year.

See you in Vegas...let's keep this league active on the Message Board...makes for more fun, when you know the guy you lost to is actually a good guy...or a Pirate!

I find it interesting that 267 now has Beltran labeled as a definite average liability, what was his average in 03. My bet is somewhere in the middle at 280.

As far as most people wanting to pick higher, I would much rather have 3 or 4 than 1 or 2 this year.

After picking 9th last year I was happy to draw the #2 pick this time around but I must say I was hoping for something around 5-6.

Not going to complain though, nothing wrong with #2 :D

Sounds like free booze, and get to know our leaders more (Greg...Tom still in Vegas Friday???)

Well...things changed after further planning. I looked at the weather reports..and it looks like not bad...but not the best weather for Vegas this weekend. I've decided to do a "family vacation" with a draft focus...and that way I kill two birds with one stone!

I get to show the family the "family" side of Vegas...the sights, the shows, the amusement parks...the food, the games, the poolside fun...(I know...believe me...I know...I'm not only bringing SAND (the lovely wife)...but also WATER (two little boys) to the BEACH ...but come FOOTBALL...it's "The Guys" only! (maybe two weeks in a row if you know what I mean for football high stakes!)

I'm super spontaneous, so I could entertain them for a flash, slip into the Friday night fun...back to patrying with them...sleep tight...DRAFT A WINNER...and entertain...and maybe slip in a poker game...who knows...I don't even know.

I'll just let Vegas decide what I do!

Just got in from Vegas! Great time...great time!

I should have made a pass around the table to say hello to everyone...seemed to only chat with team 8 on up...and I think team 5.

I should call my team "DL countdown"...or better yet..."Burial countdown"...as my team has more than it's share of old timers!

I had a fun time at the draft, and hope to stir it up with you all on these boards! Good Luck!

Nice meeting those I got to...and all I have to say is...to semi-quote Prince...

I'll reply here to the comment you made about Brian Roberts in another forum.

I didn't project 6HR for the year for him. Like I said at lunch, I felt like I was stretching in the 10th rd to get a 2B with SB potential.

For now, he is only taking up the slack for Teixiera. I agree that I need Mulder to be a 15-16 game winner to compete.

Nice to see our league chat somewhere!

"Da 'Stash" has gotten back into 1st, but don't get used to my Pirates being at bikini-bottom for much longer.

What up Lance!

Did Hawkeye, Hunnicut, & Klinger patch your boys up enough to make a run at this thing...

Chest,

Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper just to have held onto Turnbow in the first place?

Lance,

In addition to being "mob boss worthy", Joe Sambito was a lefty specialist on the '86 Sox...

Lance,

In addition to being "mob boss worthy", Joe Sambito was a lefty specialist on the '86 Sox... We have done an absolutely horrible job with waivers this year and I will be the first to admit it. I think we are extremely lucky to have Turnbow for a combined 90 considering what you paid yesterday and for what Macdougal went for.

Mike either you or a double cheeseburger eating contest has finally shut your main critic up.

Ken I am scared to mention any of your players after the week Mulder had.
