12 for Wilson, and 15 for Tino? We still got plenty of duckets...

Wow:

Week 4 Free agents killed me. I put in for 5 different players and was totally shut out. I hope I don't live to regret underbidding.

Ken,

I was wondering if you were simply hoarding all your cash. Some big money was thrown around. We went heavy on Jonesy, hopefully Mota's injury lingers, any time a trainer describes an elbow is really weird is not a good thing.

Joe,

I certainly wasn't intending to hoard money. I thought that I made pretty solid plays on the relievers that went. I more guy getting soome saves for me (even short term) could have gotten me out of the middle of the pack in that category. Not to mention I was $1 short getting Scutaro to have a guy at MI that gets AB's.

Ken,

The way Roberts is playing, he counts for 2 guys anyhow. With Mesa and Rivera, you have plenty of saves, although I am banking on Rivera spending a little bit of time on the DL, so Gordon can gobble up a few saves. Atleast you have plenty of money to get in the Robinson Cano sweepstakes...

We debated on Tomko 2 starts vs Santana on a good matchup and debated wrong and it cost us.

Very tough passing up the two starts. Cliff Lee is in Boston and Baltimore and we rolled the dice this week. The week also gave you a little separation in LV5. Still a long way to go, but by no means is it "early" anymore...

Hey Ken,

Chest asked that we come back to the back so that he can have some fun at this. So we listened now it is your turn. Maybe the Halladay broken leg will mean a little dip. Join us!

The Halladay injury could very well bring me back to the pack. I may be able to peice together enough wins to make up for him, but the damage that can be done by whoever takes his spot in the rotation (Fogg, Tomko, Westbrook) to my WHIP and ERA could cost me 6-7 points.

I was really hoping that getting Bedard back would help me push into the top five. Better now than September I suppose.

Gotta admit Ken...Great job so far!

You have the classic "winning...but not exciting" team. It shows you know how to balance categories. Damn Tex-mex and Roberts should come back down to earth...or get walked...and that could help the top dogs catch a bone...but maybe not.

I really feel good about my chances to finish in the upper half...or maybe I just really feel good due to the tequilla sunrises!

Do I get Abreu's homeruns from tonight? I could really use them...

See you in Vegas...let's keep this league active on the Message Board...makes for more fun, when you know the guy you lost to is actually a good guy...or a Pirate!

~Lance (Haaaaaaargh!) Looks good so far...brutal dip in steals. Could heat up for late surge.

I hate losing. I hate Rolen. I hate Bonds. I hate closers. (Ha!)

I suck.

Chest, Ken, & Nestar,

It should be a dogfight down to the end. Chest, I am banking on some of the good karma that we have had picking up you're scraps (Byrd, Sizemore) to hold true with Kearns. This is definitely going to be an exciting 10 weeks! Good Luck all!

Roy,

Don't rush back, take your time. Be 100% for the final 3 weeks of the season.

It didn't hurt my feelings too awlfully bad to hear that Halladay was going to not pitch against the Yankees on Sunday. The Yankees are hitting the hell out of the ball right now.

Less than 6 weeks left. How is everyone feeling? Chest? Ken?

Ken's offense is horrible right now and everything in my gut tells me ours is about to struggle even worse. If that is the case I hope a full cycle of slump and a decent little run can still happen. If I am the K boys I am frustrated right now just cannot seem to get over the hump but still plenty of time for them to do it too.

That is how I see it...

Myself, I'm feeling pretty helpless. If all my players blew knees out or something, I could replace them with free agents. But they are all playing. (Except Halladay)

By the same token, I suppose that all 15 points that I have lost in the last 2 weeks are within my grasp if my team wakes up.

Two weeks ago I was hoping for a quiet end to the season without much change. Now I have to hope for a horserace. It should be fun to watch.
