Just curious. What would have been everyone's draft position, if the selection was done in the traditional manner?
I got my third choice and the third pick, so no harm, no foul.

i believe the #5 slot was around my 10th preference. kind of amazing that the 5 spot would fall so low

hey Gordon nice try there becuase if that was the case I would have pick #5 and I would demand a recount!

I wound up with the 12th pick and would have preferred 5 or 7. Gordan: What are you basing your "competetive" call on?
It's all for laughs

I had the 5th pick as my 4th choice , and 7th as my 6th pick..so its impossible for you to have had 5th pick as your 10th selection..

I UNFORTUNATELY DIDN'T SAVE MY PREFERENCE LIST AS I ASSUMED WE WOULD STILL BE ABLE TO LOOK AT THAT PAGE UPON LOGGING ON TO "MY PREFERENCES"...ALAS IT WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE...DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS REMOVED

I was going to post that Greg/Tom should post the preference next to the draft pick. Something like this:
1. Jack Nicholson (2nd preference)
2. Keanu Reeves (1st preference)
3. Harvey Keitel (14th preference)
and so on
However, I kind of like the secret of where everyone WANTED to pick. So long as we all trust Greg/Tom (and I assume we do), the current system is the best way.

[/QUOTE]I'll agree with that. Two additional points:
(1) Is it extra work for Greg/Tom to show the preferences?
(2) Is it necessary?

is it necessary - imagine doing FAAB without having the highest bid amounts posted. the only thing that would be posted was the KoQ was able to pick up Player X. leaves us a bit unsatisifed, doesn't it.
now in my case, mike is telling me he had slot 5 valued before slot 7 (slot mike received). i had it reversed and valued slot 7 before slot 5 (slot i received). obviously someone is mistaken. it would be nice to see what mike's preferences actually were.

perhaps this should be brought to Greg's attention off-line, so as not to arouse a conspiracy theory.

with that said...i KNOW i had slot #5 ranked low...below slot 7 and slot 10 i believe!!! i will know monday morning EXACTLY where i had it.

wow! A change I'm glad you made that comment GG, becuase I knew exactly what my preferences where and it just didnt make sense to me. I'm glad it was fixed but thats a perfect example to why in the future I think it needs to be shown what preference it was just to avoid an error. I trust Greg and Tom fully but this just saved me 2 spots in the draft I'm not sure who else if anyone was switched other then myself and GG.
