good luck everyone. see you all next weekend.

Signups are starting to roll in now that the fantasy football season is complete, so let's roll out the Welcome Wagon and see if we can catch up. Let's stick with Las Vegas for a bit and welcome KC Cha of Los Angeles, California as he will be returning to the Bellagio on March 30-April 1 for the perfect quadfecta. KC will be drafting in the Main Event, the NFBC XII and two Super Leagues. Last year, KC led his glendale team to a fourth place finish in Las Vegas League 1 of the First Weekend with 102.5 points, placing 67th overall with 2,607.0 points. That was a ridiculously close league with the top 4 spots being separated by 5 points. KC also competed in the Ultimate League, but glendale finished 12th there with only 67 points. Welcome back KC and best of luck this year in the hunt for all of those league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

I like it when NFBC owners who I haven't met yet come out to Las Vegas to draft for the first time and have Corona's with me!! That will be the case this year with Ken O'Brien of Virginia Beach, Virginia, who competed in the NFBC Main Event and Auction Championship last year in Atlantic City. Now that we're not returning to AC, Ken has decided to fly out to Las Vegas for the Second Weekend of activities and will be competing in the Main Event, NFBC XII and the Ultimate Auction Championship. Can't beat that tripleheader, my man!! Last year in AC, Ken led his BN Bears to a 5th place finish in Atlantic City League 1 with 90 points, placing 115th overall with 2,326.5 points. Welcome back Ken and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We already have 70+ signups for our Main Event with a goal of 390 this year. The Main Event has sold out EVERY YEAR since 2005 and I suspect we'll hit the mark again this year. Our latest signup is NFBC veteran Richard Talley of Baltimore, Maryland as he will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. Richard led his Two Man Wolfpack to an 8th place finish last year in Las Vegas League 1 with 87.5 points, placing 120th overall with 2,289.5 points. Welcome back Richard and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We filled up the Friday, March 30th, 9 am Auction Championship League in Las Vegas this morning as Rick Talley of Baltimore, Maryland grabbed the last spot. We now have 15 owners for that early morning live auction. Great job all. Rick competed in the NFBC Main Event last year and will be returning to the Bellagio again this year for this auction league and maybe more. Glad to have you on board in this one Rick and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the league prize and the $15,000 grand prize.

It's great to welcome back another defending Main Event league champion as Andre Bourcier of Horseshoe, Texas will be joining us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 31st. Andre led his Serenity Now team to a first place finish in New York League 2 last year with 115 points, placing 52nd overall with 2,703.0 points. It was his second Main Event league title, having also won a Main Event in 2006. Andre will be joining us in Las Vegas for the best tripleheader of all: The Main Event, the NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. I love it. I look forward to meeting you in Las Vegas Andre and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We now have just three spots left for the $1,300 NL Auction League and only 6 spots left for the $1,300 AL Auction League in Las Vegas on Friday, March 30th thanks to the arrival of Gregory Churchill from Victoria, British Columbia. We met Greg at the Bellagio two years ago when he was playing poker next to Shawn and he started to inquire about this fantasy baseball draft that was there. He stopped by to watch the AL Auction League and said he was going to play the next year. He jumped into a Double Play in 2010, but skipped a year before jumping into both of these auctions and an Auction Championship on April 1st at the Bellagio. I like the three auctions and I'm sure you will too Greg. Welcome aboard and best of luck in the hunt for all three league prizes and the $15,000 grand prize.

Gregory Churchill of Victoria, British Columbia was already signed up for the $1,300 AL and NL Auction Leagues in Las Vegas as he considers himself mainly an auction player. But after doing several Slow Draft Leagues, he likes the draft portion so much now that he grabbed one of our last spots in the Las Vegas Second Weekend Main Event. We now have ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT in Las Vegas for the Main Event on Saturday, March 31st. Welcome aboard Greg and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Also signing up today for that Saturday, March 31st Super League in Las Vegas was Chris Poulson of Dublin, California. Like Chad, Chris is also finalizing his schedule to Las Vegas and will be jumping into several leagues that weekend. But he wanted to make sure he got into this one before he sold out. Team Poulson competed in this Saturday night Super League last year and finished 10th with 73.5 points, but like Chad he's back for a money finish. Welcome back Chris and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $20,000 league prize.

We had 60+ owners in the NFBC last year who were Charter Members in 2004 and one of them was Clark Olson. Clark won a Main Event league title in each of our first two years and has competed with us each year since then. He's coming back to Las Vegas on the Second Weekend and will compete in the NFBC Tripleheader: Main Event, Auction Championship and NFBC XII. Last year, his Hell Bent For Leather team finished 10th in Las Vegas 2 with 61.5 points, 9th in the Auction Championship with 72 points, and 4th in the Las Vegas Live Double Play with 78 points. Welcome back Clark and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We're glad to welcome back another NFBC veteran to the 2012 live events as Josh Honeycutt of Paragould, Arkansas will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-April 1. Josh grabbed the final spot in the $1,300 NL Auction League on Friday morning and will follow that with a spot in the 4 pm Auction Championship. He's also competing again in the Main Event on Saturday and the Super League on Sunday. Last year, Josh competed in two Main Events with his Get Carter St. Louis team finishing 5th with 96 points and 104th overall (2,391.0 points), while Get Carter also finished 5th in Online League 2 of the Second Weekend with 89 points, placing 119th overall (2,302.0 points). Welcome back Josh and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

t's been another crazy day for Main Event league signups. Let's welcome back the tag team of Keith Voight and Chris Dalzell of Playa del Rey, California as they will be joining us at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st. Keith and Chris had a great run last year as these NFBC veterans led their GoGo Pulpinators to a 2nd place finish in Las Vegas League 3 of the First Weekend with 117.5 points, placing 23rd overall with 2,883.0 points. Their back for another shot at the $100,000 grand prize and we wish them best of luck once again. Thanks guys.

It's great to welcome back another NFBC veteran to the live event at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on March 30-31. Jason Gill of Chicago, Illinois has been with us the last three years and he's back to compete in the $1,300 NL Auction League and the Main Event. He competed in Las Vegas League 4 last year when Lindy Hinkelman won the $100,000 grand prize, so he saw first hand how it's done. His Flawless Victory team tied for 4th place in LV 4 with 85.5 points and placed 137th overall with 2,197.0 points. He didn't fare quite as well in the $1,300 NL Auction League, but that's his favorite event and he's back for more in that league, which is full now. Welcome back Jason and best of luck in the hunt for these league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome back NFBC veteran Stephen Fiore to the NFBC in 2012 as he is our latest owner to take the NFBC Tripleheader with us. Steve is a past NFBC champion who is hoping to add to this past titles with three this year. He's coming to the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-April 1 and doing the Main Event, the NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. Last year, his Sultans of Smack battled through a bunch of injuries to finish 5th in Las Vegas 3 in the Main Event with 87 points, while placing 149th with 2,143.0 points. Sultans of Smack also finished 10th in the March 27th Las Vegas Auction League, but then finished 2nd in his March 30th Online Double Play League with 86.5 points. That Online team finished 145th overall with 5,080.5 points. We're glad to have you back for all three events this year Steve and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

Also joining the $1,300 AL Auction League with us in Las Vegas on Friday, March 30th is Bradley Shairson of Hermosa Beach, California. Brad almost won our $100,000 grand prize in the NFFC Primetime this year, finishing second to Dave Clum on a last minute drive by Drew Brees. He's bummed about that, but willing to move forward and try to win it all in baseball this time. Brad is returning with William Hoffman in the Las Vegas Main Event as we continue to work on our 6th league there. Last year in the Main, Will and Brad were in the league that produced the $100,000 grand prize, but they weren't the ones who cashed the big check. Their Return of the Schmegs1 finished with only 48 points in Las Vegas 4 where Lindy Hinkelman won the grand prize and they finished 347th overall. In the $1300 NL Auction League last year, their Vandelay Industries team finished 10th with 60.5 points. But Brad is back for two events again this year and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're moving closer to a third full Main Event Online League on the Second Weekend and a full 22nd Main Event League overall as we welcome another veteran team back in 2012. Nick Sackett of Alhambra California and co-manager Brian Slack return after a solid season in 2011. Nick and Brian are veteran NFBC owners who led The Hello Kitties to a 2nd place finish in Las Vegas League 6 with 106.5 points, while placing 70th overall with 2,592.0 points. We're glad to have you guys back once again and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We now have 6 full NFBC Main Event leagues in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 31st as we welcome another NFBC veteran to our signature event. Brian Slack of Los Angeles, California will be returning to the Bellagio with his wife Claire Lim for a shot at this year's grand prize. Brian teamed up with Nick Sackett last year and Nick is already signed up for a Main Event Online team on March 31st. Brian is taking his own team in Las Vegas after the two led The Hello Kitties to a 2nd place finish in Las Vegas League 6 with 106.5 points while placing 70th overall with 2,592.0 points. Welcome back Brian and Claire and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Donn Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia becomes our 102nd owner to grab teams in both ends of the NFBC Main Event doubleheader. Donn is an NFBC Charter Member who will be back with us in Las Vegas on the Second Weekend for all kinds of events. I'm glad to see he added the NFBC XII on Friday, March 30th at 10 am PT at the Bellagio. That one is shaping up as a fun, fun league. Welcome to the NFBC XII Donn and best of luck in the hunt for this league prize and the added $50,000 grand prize.

Not in your league (probably in so many ways) but nicely done Gregory! And you better watch out who you are playing poker next too. You never know what kind of character you might be rubbing elbows with! :D

shame; :)

" It's good to welcome another NFBC Charter Member to the 2012 events. In fact, you might want to have this guy in your league this year...for a number of reasons!!! Wayne Edwards of Duluth, Georgia had won of his best seasons in the NFBC last year, but more importantly he was part of two national championships. He was in the same league as Lindy Hinkelman as he won the $100,000 grand prize and he was in the same NFBC Auction League as our overall champions, Rich Gordon and Charles Levitz. Ol' Wayne is like a good luck charm!!! Although Lindy won Las Vegas League 4, Wayne emerged second to win $2,800, finishing with 109.5 points and 31st overall (2,810.0 points). Edwards Kings also placed 4th in the Auction Championship (LV 4 pm) with 97.5 points. Wayne will be joining us again at the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-31 for the Auction League and the Main Event and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

( reply) Not to belabor the point, but I also got clobbered by Jupinka in 2010 when he won it all! That is losing to three national champions in two years. Somebody want to buy me a stiff drink? "

good luck next weekend, look forward to meeting you. i'm thinking you are due for a bit of karmic bounce in 2012.
