Tough breaks, now that Wagner, LaRue, and Wilkerson are injured.

You need more power. I don't see a legit 30hr guy in your lineup. Chavez, young, and Wilkerson (if health) may come close

Dog! Love that pitching staff...I guess I ought to as I have Schmidt/Vazquez/Davis/Duchscherer on my staff as well. Solid closers and Young and Harang should be good as well. Thompson I think is a sleeper so much I hope the Braves do not trade him.

I think your power is ok as most except Pierre will hit 20 to 30, good runs, good RBI.

Speed might be an issue, but many of your players are the well rounded types that can steal 10-15. It is all too early and everyone's teams look good, but it looks like to me you have great balance with a real shot at 80% of available points in all categories.

They really made New York look bad this year. Besides Chicken Little from Levittown, Long Island, they had that nasty biatch with the huge caboose from The Bronx/Mount Vernon (Brenna I believe was her name). No wonder people around the country have such a negative opinion of New Yorkers.

But most of the people who have a negative opinion about New Yorkers aren't from America

they are from the South

Without the South, the US would be sadly lacking in culture, beauty, charm, literature, nuance, great football players, good food, great weather, great beaches, abundant bikini's, great hunting, witty people, Presidents, qualified military enlistments, fast cars, good liquor, and tolerance of Yankee's coming into your backyard to tell you how they used to do it in Cleveland!

Good team MGBMarty. Good core power in Dunn and Ortiz, but Dunn, Kearns, and a few others are a serious drain on BA. Hopefully the others will be able to absorb the few .250's (.240's?). Good speed especially as Taveras will probably not have to split time in the OF. Had him last year, so the only concern with him is OBA. It would not be surprising if you got 100 between Taveras and Reyes, so you would only need about 40 from the remainders to get about 80% of the SB points.

Pitching has a good core, but the last three or four in your weekly lineup carry some higher risk than average (IMHO) and I think O. Perez and P. Byrd will eventually break your heart. Davies stock in on the rise, so that could be a real nice, solid end of the rotation guy for you. If Jones doesn't hold up for you, you could be mining for saves (like me) in the FAAB.

A little luck (which we all need) and you are in the money.

Edwards,

I've drafted with you twice

you're not from the south

you have teeth

you didn't have a razor sharp bible with bayonet attachment on your person

you weren't wearing a sheet over your head

and you were able to pronounce the word "nuclear"

so if you are from the south, you must be the freak

Cherokee's have experienced the southern warmth you mentioned, when you butchered us for our skin color and stole our land

If you are from the Confederacy I'll forgive ya, just don't do it again

If you are from the Confederacy I'll forgive ya, just don't do it again :D Understood on all accounts, but sorry, my family came across the border into Georgia (from North Carolina no less) in 1747 and they haven't been able to kill or kick us out since. So, I am as Southern as they get. Now pity my poor children as by marrying a Yankee, they are 1/4 Irish, 1/4 French Canadian, and 1/2 Redneck. ;)

And my great-great-great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee...so maybe that is the reason I have some redeeming qualities after all.
