All-DL Team

Post by Edwards Kings » Fri May 12, 2006 3:39 am

I am sure the list can be improved, but here is a first stab at the current All-DL team:

J. Lopez, BLT C

M. Lieberthal, PHI C

D. Lee, CHC 1B

J. Cantu, TB 3B

M. Sweeney, KC CM

B. Roberts, BLT 2B

R. Aurilia, CIN SS

R. Durham, SF MI

H. Matsui, NYY OF

G. Sheffield, NYY OF

C. Crisp, BST OF

M. Alou, SF OF

J. Hermida, FLA OF

R. Klesko, SD, UT

B. Sheets, MIL, P

R. Harden, OAK, P

J. Patterson, WAS, P

E. Loaiza, OAK, P

J. Contreras, CHW, P

A.J. Burnett, TOR, P

B. Colon, LAA, P

E. Gagne, LAD, P

M. MacDougal, KC, P

Who would you replace and how many do you have on your team? If healthy, how would this team do in the competition?

I might throw Baldelli on there instead of Klesko...

Point taken. However, I'd still rather he than Klesko.

Nice work. A pretty decent team that would make sense to draft, round-by-round. You have too much time on your hands.

I have M Alou , in one league , AJ Burnett in one , and Cantu in two leagues.IM in 7 NFBC leagues , so not a bad job missing injuries.

Burnett was in the auction and got caught bidding him up.I try to avoid any kind of risk.

In one league i remember passing on Sheffield in the 3rd round , because of his age and odds of him making it threw the season injury free , i went with A Dunn , 11 years younger. In this case it looks like it could matter in the long run.Matsui is a guy i wanted but couldnt get, the perfect guy, great stats , plays every day .

Sometimes even the safe guys arent.

That team has a lot of potential, but also a lot of known risk. I should know, I got "boxed in" to taking risky players early in the draft and decided to draft completely on upside. So far, I have been burned.

Lee, Burnett, Sheets, Gagne, Sheffield, to name a few, had huge questions to answer as of the draft. Only Matsui fans should feel unlucky.
