Will 100 points cash? Does it take 100 points to win a league? Who got shafted with the highest score and fail to cash? Here is most of what you want to know.
There were 57 scores of 100 or better. 51 of them cashed. The 6 that did not cash were 107, 106, 104, 103.5, 102.5 and 102. These all came in 4th place in their league. The 107 was posted by Shawon-O-Meters in CH1. Maybe there should be a plaque from Greg for the best non-cashing score.
The lowest score for a league champion was 100 by Statistical Apocolypse in LV9. Only three second place scores were lower and one of those was the 99.5 in his own league. He will be laughing all the way to the bank with that $5000 check. Closely following were winning 101 & 102 scores.
The highest 2nd place finish was a 131 by MGBS109 in NY5. No sympathy cards are needed as they also got 3rd overall. The next highest runner-up score was 117 by Chin Music in NY4.
The lowest 2nd place scores were 97 by Slumpbusters & Superpions in a 2nd/3rd tie CH4. The only other score less than 100 points were 99.5 in LV9 and 98.5 in NY7.
The highest 3rd place score technically was 114.5 in NY3 where there was a 3-way tie for the title. The next highest 3rd place score was by 110 by Thunder Road in CH1. The lowest 3rd place score was a 93 in LV9 where two teams tied for 3rd with that lowly number.
The tighest race from 1st to 3rd was obviously NY3 where there was a 3-way tie. The second tightest was CH1 where only 2 points separated the top 3 teams.
The tightest race from 1st to 4th was also CH1 where the 4th place finisher was only 5 points from a title. No money but close.
Nine teams scored more than 120 points. Six cashed in the overall and the others were 9th, 11th & 12th overall. The top four finishers overall were ALSO the top 4 teams in league points AND the order of league points scored exactly matched their overall finish
