What CAN 2nd and 3rd Prize Be?
Wow, look at me now BB of the Leaderboard. I am registered and guess what. You know nothing more about me now than when I wasn't. What the hell does being registered have to do with anything? Do you get kicks out of having your name in boldfaced print or something?
I felt compelled to register so that I no longer carried the dreaded "lurker" tag from all of the holier than thou board posters who are above those of us who prefer to just read to get updated on the information. Guess I can rightfully claim my place among the worthy now.

We'll still all have to wait until September and October to find out how "worthy" any of us are.

I can't wait until 2008 when we're playing for the MILLION DOLLAR GRAND PRIZE.
Then we will undoubtedly argue about the drop-off from $1,000,000 to $100,000.

I feel Walter's pain.
Here is my dilemma. It is an age old practice to share most (if not all) of your winnings with your spouse who has to put up with your BS all season.
So when I joined this thing I told my wife, "Yeah you can have EVERYTHING I win...first prize is $25,000".
So, if we reduce the 1st place prize down to $75K then you are directly reducing my share of the winnings without reducing hers. I am stuck paying her $25K no matter what.
Where I'm from we like to say, "that dog won't hunt".

Your wife doesn't think you're simply on a business trip?

You do have to admit there's a certain amount of cowardice and lesser respect granted to someone who isn't registered and seems to post 'anonymously' - we've all seen things on the internet not backed up by a name and people rage on without control... be a name and be proud of your opinion, but find something else to get mad about. I think less of people who are unregistered and who aren't paid participants posting here.

Dyv Everyone on here, registered or not is posting anonymously. A few have shared their names but for the most part all are anonymous. You can't click a profile and get a name or any other data that would let you know who anyone is.
There is no *requirement* to be a paid participant to join this board either. How do you know any registered member is a paid participant? You don't.
I'm not mad about anything. I just think you guys that post on here a lot somehow believe you are superior because you are registered. All I am saying is that being registered proves nothing. You can still be anonymous and you can still be a non-participant.
I can't imagine why anyone who isn't playing would read through all this stuff and post for no reason anyways.

The only thing you seem to be missing is that 9 days from now many of us will be meeting each other.
Besides the fact that everyone in Vegas will probably know who I am I'm completely anonymous and will remain that way
