Thanks for posting Brian...I don't want to be the only one there...I'll add a thing or two each weekend...but PLEASE do not let it slow down the posts!

~Lance Very surprising on how the league isn't too chatty. I'm good for an amusing piece of clip art or two a week.

Today's stupid observations...

Corey Patterson has a 2nd career as a model if he wants it. Imagine a Gap style commercial laughing with a group of dudes and chicks, then jumping off of a sailboat into warm Bermuda waters.

Ryan Freel has the eyebrows of a newborn baby.

I believe I saw the worst MLB uniform in history yesterday. The PIT catcher...with the black sleeves and vest top, added to a shiny yellow and black chest protector and bright yellow shin guards, and a hockey style face-mask...he looked more like the bumble bee Transformer than a ball player.

For a 23 year old...Ian Kennedy almost put me to sleep. Maybe Posada being out slowed things down...but he takes for freaking EVER to begin his windup.

Joe Girardi is the perfect predecessor to Joe Torre...I can see 12 or more years managing the Yanks EASY .

I fear I missed the boat on Carlos Gomez of MIN...he sure would look better in my team right now than Jacoby Ellsbury looks.

Lance your posts are priceless!! I almost pissed my pants reading about Ryan Freel's eyebrows! I think you meant Girardi is the perfect successor to Torre. I am with you on missing the Carlos Gomez boat, that guy runs everytime he gets on! Keep up the great posts Lance, you give me something to look forward to reading on those late insomniac nights!! First drink on me in Vegas in August!!

More stupid comments...

Watching the SD/LA game...a few thoughts jumped into my head...

The Padre catcher is a dead ringer for a certain animated Donatello.

I wonder how many times Khalil

has heard the name Spicoli yelled at him by the fans.

Gotta love SEA pitcher Lowe's ERA and WHIP lines on Yahoo...INF (infinity!) :D

Is it me, or does Rickie Weeks have the same blank stare (like he's actually living in his own little world), and super high IQ of Mr. Ricky Henderson.

Replace "super high" with off the charts low in above sentence.

Do we really need pet injury coverage in our car insurance???

Where did all the Kerry Wood **** talk go?

Johan is an awesome athlete. Aside from his pitching...his defensive instincts are killer, and he ran the bases like a stud.

Brandon Lyon is history.

...Smoltzy.

Fairly corny, but interesting, nonetheless...

GREAT JOB RANDY! (LATHAM)

#1 Overall!!!

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Keep it up for another 5 months and you're golden! :D

(Print out the page with you in first...not too many teams even sit there once!)

I didn't want to post on our league board...I like the shirtless bet-losers! ;)

Lance,

You're doing a fine job on the league message board. This may have been your best week.

UFS - enjoy yourself up there in 5th place; I am beginning my ascent now.

Deducing from our Vegas draft and the MB photos and my own wife...I'd respectfully say we have similar taste.

OK, fresh off that exhaustive Rickie Weeks discussion I've loaded the boat with Mike Aviles's. I'm in 6 NFBC mixed lges, and all six of them took down Mike Aviles today.

He put up great numbers in the minors this year and is off to a hot start in KC. Was I fooled by his AAA numbers in a hitters league - or can this guy put up top tier shortstop numbers hitting for avg with power and a little speed thrown in?

I'm anxious to hear the LV3 experts weigh in. UFS - here's your chance to call one before you see the results ... :D

Honestly...it's a fucking joke that this top level website can't even find a way to turn out the spammers, and allow photos.

So primitive.

Is STATS as primitive as this message board?

Attack the problem and solve it.

Has it been a year or more now with this same garbage excuse for not allowing photos?

I know for a fact that Kelly, Lance and myself were thrilled with your Miggy pick as we all got the guy we really wanted. Sure Randy is happy too!

It's a solid pick up. I think he'll do well, but they rotate SS in KC all the time.

Also, Tulo could get activated this Friday according to Rotodumper, and I don't see you benching Vazquez, or any of the CI's you have at util. He'll be a solid reserve play for sure.

... and you may be doing your victory dance before you get into the end zone Leon Lett.

Miggy is heating up. One more good week and he's passed your 1st round pick Holliday. Did you call Holliday's drop off too?

I called it after the draft. You just weren't there. You were too busy copying everyone's drafts for your Ultimate League. Hmm...and KJ also revealed he was sneaking a peak at my other draft and planned to take Tulo out from under me (read: Tulo's poor start=karma). Now, now, John, correct me if I'm wrong here but didn't you tell me no one ever does this, every draft is different, yada, yada?

I'm anxious to hear the LV3 experts weigh in. UFS - here's your chance to call one before you see the results ... :D Well, he is a tough call. I always feel like those minor league guys who look mediocre to start the season and then explode can go either way. If I needed a MI, I'd have thrown a little money at him to find out, but you overspent on him. I'm not saying he won't return your investment, but I don't like to spend too much on guys who have such a short history of great play. Looks like most leagues he was $30-$40. As John said, you aren't desperate for him this second and you might need that $100 later.
