Seeds of democracy in the Middle East

Post by JerseyPaul » Mon Jan 31, 2005 3:19 pm

First, free elections in Afghanistan.

Now, elections in Iraq. Perhaps, a very small perhaps, the flame of freedom will catch fire and the root cause of terrorism will begin to subside.

Perhaps, and we can only hope... regime change in the PLO will create an opportunity for peace in the Middle East.

Yes, it was costly, but we may be looking at fundamental changes in world dynamics.

Why dont you ask some of those brave people that risk their lives just to vote for the first time. I sure wish we had a president that had the forsight to stop ****** . My great grandmother and grand father would have enjoyed a full life.

I am sure that that the family members of all the millions of people that have died over the last 10 years wish we had stepped in long before now.
