Is an elite closer droppable?

Post by mattjb » Sun Jun 29, 2014 7:41 am

In my OC league a top 10 closer was dropped last week by the team bottom of the league and completely adrift (they have 25 points)

Now they are bottom in saves so you could argue OK they are punting the category now to catch up somewhere else but their team is completely done.

Should such a difference making player be allowed in the FA pool? Do we think about saves differently than other categories?

not sure there is a thing as an elite closer, but for the most part those drops are allowed.
