DHDC Draft Dates

DRAFT START DATES :
Start-up League: Thursday, January 14
Original Leagues: Thursday, February 4

Each draft should take 10-12 days at 4-5 rds per day, so we'll have a one-week break in between for those in both leagues. The second draft should finish just prior to the $1K DC which some of you are in.

For the original league, keepers are due on January 31 and the procedure will be to simply draft your protected players in the corresponding round from 2015 rather than a new player. I'll post a list of all keepers by Feb 1; please cross them off your draft list to avoid any accidental drafting of protected players since they will show up in the player pool.

Proposed rules addendum to account for last minute injuries.
(1) If a protected player sustains or discloses a significant injury/suspension/etc after the Jan 31 deadline you may announce your intention to drop them (prior to the start of the draft) and draft (not protect) a new player in their spot. The dropping team would be ineligible to draft this player at any point in the draft.

(2) After the draft starts, you can still drop a protected player prior to drafting them IF they are expected to miss the entire season based on new information. This player would be ineligible to be drafted by any team.
