Grumpy Me

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:06 pm

I'm in a bitchy mood, so excuse me, or don't, I don't give a rat's ass.

I am sick to death of this weather. There is nothing I can do about it. No control.
So, I'll bitch, grumble and groan.
The weather has kept home runs down.
I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. It just doesn't seem like baseball when players go to the plate looking more like bank robbers with hoodies and that other crap they wear over their heads.
Stupid assed weather.

I am sick to death of push button Managing.
The Catcher gets a rest every third day.
Lefties vs. righties.
90 Pitches and we know a pitcher is not long for the game.
I saw a pitcher getting ripped over the weekend. Ripped.
The Manager leaves him in, in order to get more pitches out of him.
What the Hell?
They say it is 'saving the bullpen'.
Yet, the Rays and other teams have 'bullpen days'.

What happened to Managing with your gut?
What happened to Managing with your head.
Being led by numbers is for fantasy managers, not Major League Managers.
Remember when they used to make fun of us for doing this?
Now, they are following in our footsteps.
Quit it!
You're supposed to be better than that!

Max Scherzer and Steven Strasburg are not throwing against the Mets this week.
The Nationals are six games back of the Maets and not throwing their best pitchers against the Mets.
The back end of their rotation.
God forbid that a Manager changes it's rotation and upset the numbers!
And why are Scherzer and Strasburg throwing together without the perfect buffer of Gonzalez between them?
It's because of Strasburg's 'feelings' most likely.
If having Gonzalez between them, Strasburg and Scherzer would throw in each series.
Just Stupid managing.
Even us fantasy managers are smarter than that.

The same people that are killing Stanton now for striking out, will be the same one's impressed later when the weather gets warm and home runs are being struck.

One thing Kershaw has over the other three of Scherzer, Sale, and Kluber is that he won't have weather that sets back a start a week, due to weather.

Devon Travowitzki?

Two at bats during Spring Training.
A .122 batting average.
Reynolds signed.
Zimmerman owners should be very, very worried.

Kyle Seager looks A LOT better than Corey Seager.

Ian Happ hits like J.A. Happ five of six games a week.
It does not make his owners HAPPy.

Who gets called up first.
Senzel?
Acuna?
Calhoun?
Flaherty?
Robles?
We're getting closer.
What a stupid rule in keeping better players in the minors.
Stupid.

The Twins have their who weekend cancelled.
Then have a two game Mon-Thurs period.
Two games in seven days!
Not a fun time to own Twins.

Luis Castillo.
Man, the hype machine really blew on him.
Now, he just plain has blown.
Seen better arms on a def Leppard drummer.

Representing us fat senior citizens, Bartolo Colon threw a great game and middle finger at those who are a slave to gyms.

Why do we have trainers?
A trainer goes out, looks at Kiermaiers's thumb and keeps him in the game.
After the trainer leaves, he compares his hurt thumb to the other, and knows he ain't long for playing in the future.

18 days of the season.
All teams have played on just three of those days.
Woo hoo.

kevin keirmeir- when he bitched about those trades they should have said- 'we wouldn't have traded them if we thought for one f.....g second you could play 150 games this year. strasburg/max- THAT is why i asked last week- i saw this. that is just awful. BARTO COLON forever. what were the odds in vegas on that game houston -290? 310?. ya gotta love em both. the 2018 version of marichal/ span. only about 14 innings short. btw- i don't play daily fantasy- but what all these EXPERTS should be saying is- you MUST go with outlier pitcher- you must. always. you finish last 15 times in a row. which pays the same as 15th probably. but then BARTO COLON hits or someone like that and you win. lastly- the bad news- i have about 10 players hurt. the good news? their teams haven't played in 5 days.
