Philippe Dussault Wins 2021 NFBC Auction Championship

Philippe Dussault of Terrebonne, Quebec won two national titles in 2021 as he added the NFBC Auction Championship to his Main Event trophy case. Because of Covid, the 2021 NFBC Auction Championship was limited to 8 leagues and 120 teams, but Philippe bested all of them to win the $20,000 grand prize. He also won the $20,000 league prize since this title came from the New York Super Auction League.

Philippe couldn't even come to the United States for the New York Auction Championship because of travel restrictions, so he had Rob DiPietro as his live proxy as he gave instructions through an ear piece. Yet he still dominated the league against an all-star cast of live participants, winning the league title with 131.5 points (87.67%), while winning the overall title with 1,043 points (86.9%).

The 33-year-old finished 45 points ahead of Brody John for the title, while John Pausma, Bob Casale and Mike Rothe rounding out the Top 5. We paid the Top 6 overall this year and the Top 3 in each league.

Great job everyone and hopefully in 2022 we can get back to the $30,000 grand prize and at least 12 teams/180 teams competing for this title. Congrats to all the league and overall money winners.
