A few interested parties above can't make it out for this league, and with the various challenges ahead for something that takes more planning than most other leagues, 2022 looks like poor timing to push forward with this league.
I may give it another shot in the future, but for this season we won't go forward. Thanks to those who were interested and provided feedback.

Re: The Vegas Contract League
I will admit that I do like this format and it's so successful in football that we run two NFFC Kickoff Gridiron Leagues. I'm disappointed that we couldn't make this work in baseball, but I understand everything that KJ has going on right now.
The weekly payouts is what makes this format so much fun and in football it's $800+ per week for the 17 weekly winners. Bidding for draft spots is what makes this fun as well, even though it might be slightly different in baseball without Third Round Reversal. But I think it still would be fun.
I understand that this is a unique year, but if there is enough interest to keep discussion going for a 2022 league, I'll step in and handle the weekly prizes and payouts. That's something we could do internally and through your Player Accounts. If Wednesday night still works out, I can get a suite for this format.
Just a thought if there's still interest as we have three months until the live events in Las Vegas. A lot can change between now and then, so if there's interest, I'm still interested in hosting and running this league format. Just let me know if interest is there. Thanks.

Thanks for the efforts KJ!
Re: The Vegas Contract League
The format is awesome, really.
With the CBA, it has to make things wonky for Kevin.
Great concept. Hopefully, somehow, it'll still be played this year.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Re: The Vegas Contract League
Matt Shepherd is having trouble posting on the NFBC boards, so I'll post his email that he sent to me last night:
"I was one of those who dropped Vegas contract league- WED night 3/23 didn’t work. My next event is FRI 3/25 at 4pm, so it didn’t make sense to arrive 2 days early for one thing
Any way the contract league can be SAT or SUN around 8ish after the Platinum/Diamond draft is complete??"
My response: "Yeah, I'll host it on Saturday night if that works for everyone. We have Auctions that start at 4 pm, so we'd have to start like 9 or 9:30 pm PT, but why not? What else do we have to do?"
If that helps some owners who couldn't come in on Wednesday, let me know. We'll have all of the ballrooms available and will make it work if we can get a full league on Saturday night. Thoughts?

If you think you can fill it on the weekend and run it all I might come back and take a team.Greg Ambrosius wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 10:58 amI will admit that I do like this format and it's so successful in football that we run two NFFC Kickoff Gridiron Leagues. Re: The Vegas Contract League
If enough people are interested in a Saturday night gathering, sure we can host it in a ballroom downstairs and still make it fun. And we'll just make the weekly payments as part of our NFBC payouts and put the money on everyone's account each week. Probably easier for you and good for the weekly winners. Let's do this!!! Matt also suggested an online draft with the bidding for draft spots via Zoom if we can't pull off a live draft, but let's try the Saturday night gathering first and make that a full, full day if possible. Okay?KJ Duke wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 5:21 pmIf you think you can fill it on the weekend and run it all I might come back and take a team.Greg Ambrosius wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 10:58 amI will admit that I do like this format and it's so successful in football that we run two NFFC Kickoff Gridiron Leagues.
