Profanity on League message boards

Post by Bobby J » Sun Sep 28, 2008 5:59 am

anyone else have any problems during the year trying to post on your league web page. I have tried a few times over the past week and the messages are coming back saying "You may not use profanity in your post". I have checked several times and there is not any profanity used, but obviously, it does not like at least one word I am typing

Gosh, haven't had this happen to me, but I can't imagine it is a real concern about STATS unless I hear KJ Duke and Spyhunter pipe up about it on here. ;)

Happened to me a little while ago, and no matter how I cut down the message, it still wouldn't post lol

I am trying to congratulate the winners in my leagues and I get the profanity statement. Exactly what filter are they using? My grandmother would not even object to the language I am using. Nothing even resembles profanity!

I have been pretty quiet about the many and obvious shortcomings of STATS! over the last five years. I guess it is just two. Too frequent, too unprofessional, too amateurish, too unfortuneate, too infuriating, too bad.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

kind of weird but I think the word is "Congrats", I guess in Stat's vocab "rats" is a bad word
