But when I hear this, "Until you have played in the Main Event and won on this stage it really doesn't matter much."
It really urks me. How does winning or losing in the NFBC define you as a competitive fantasy player? It's almost as if you're saying, if you spend $1,300 on an entry, you must be pretty good. A lot of great fantasy players have never and will never play in the Main Event. That is a fact.
I can tell you right now, Fudd is one of the best I've ever played against. And as far as comparing the Kimo league to being just another "local league", you are way off base and you clearly have no idea what kind of competition runs through there. It's kind of like this, let's say the Main Event is full of major league teams, the Kimo league is nothing but All-Stars.
Alright, I'm done with my rant. Good luck in that league. It's gonna be tough. I never said Fudd couldn't be competitive in the Main Event nor any other local league player for that matter. I was only trying to point that here is a guy talking a lot of smack on the NFBC boards about players in the NFBC when he won't step up and play against them. I am sure based on his results in the Kimo league that we all can agree he could compete here in the Main. Just as Fudd and yourself can be bothered by peoples comments like mine and Gekko's, people that have competed on this level of competition can be offended by those that try to downplay it as just another league that only people willing to cough up $1,300 can play in it. Nobody ever said that only the best play here, but you can say the best do come here to play. I have 3 owners of my old local league I know could compete here, but choose not to, but they don't come on the boards talking **** to the rest of us who choose to do so. I am sure if I join that Fudd will hand it to me as I don't claim to be the best, but he better pack a lunch cause it won't be easy.

He does play against "them", in fact he plays against some of the best NFBC guys around and does very well. But you are right, this is an NFBC message board, there's a place for this kind of trashtalk, and it's probably not here.
