Glenn - you can't hang in this event - not because of skillz although we presume those lacking since you haven't done it before BUT because you don't know baseball and will grow tired of it within a month - two at the best.
Save your well deserved FF loot and go do some football drafts, survivors, early satellites or whatever.
Peace - OUT

Snake, why not try the online drafts? This way you get a sense w/o the high cost of the main events. Plus the competition tends to be easier in the lower $$$ satellites
As for jumping in, just be prepared to draft 450 players. This is alot more than most, almost 2x. That means every team will have some holes, so you have to know your rookies, etc... But, just because it is deep, doesn't mean you cant do well if a some players run your way

We're all die-hard players in the NFBC and we welcome newcomers but c'mon. Baseball is a marathon, it's a daily grind, it's a game where excuses are left at home, it's skill-based, it's filled with baseball fanatics who LOVE the game with a passion few will understand, and it's a family of friends here at the NFBC who enjoy their fun discussions on our boards. This is a much more mature audience than what you're used to.
Your other post was eliminated because the venomous followup posts quickly poisoned these boards and I will not allow the NFBC boards to turn into the NFFC boards. I don't care who starts the poisonous threads or banters or whatever it's called these days, they just won't be allowed on here anymore. We have a good group of baseball die-hards and I will not let anyone or any group of posters change these boards.
You can easily PM folks on these boards you know for advise about the NFBC or fantasy baseball in general as you know enough of the folks here. And call me if you need anything, but for now feel free to read all the information you can digest from here and make your decision about fantasy baseball from that. Good luck.

[/QB]This is my 3rd yr in NFBC, have never competed in NFFC, so I don't know this guy SNAKE, but it doesn't sound like he's being welcomed by this "family of friends".
If he started a thread asking for advice and it had to be eliminated b/c of "venomous followup posts poisoning these boards" that doesn't seem very welcoming to me.
The need to eliminate such a thread seems to say more about this "welcoming family of friends" than it does the SNAKE. I don't know what the NFFC boards are like, but if that is mature behavior, then I guess I'm getting old.

I don't know snake either. I do know Greg. Greg has put up with me for 6 seasons now. I say some stupid things but Greg has never booted me off.
What that tells me is Snake had to really cross the line for Greg to respond like that. Without knowing the facts I'll have to back Greg until proven otherwise!!
