Horatio Ramirez was battered in his last start vs. the Angels, but it turns out that he bent his fingernail back moving furniture, and could not throw his curve ball during the game.....

In a related story, 400 pound Mary Pizza blames having a sixth finger for her weight problem. Without the use of the sixth finger she surmises that she would not be able to carry more than one plate from the buffet to her table.
