DL Roster Move Reminder

Post by Tom Kessenich » Thu Apr 16, 2009 2:25 am

Hey folks, just a reminder that once you remove a player on the DL and put him on your bench during the week you cannot later change the newly activated player later in the week. Any questions about this let us know.

DL Roster Move Reminder

Tom, I am trying to DL Nady, who is in my starting lineup. Stas won't let me, even though the Yankees DL'd him earlier today.

Some teams announce it and then make it official later. Keep on checking.

Since the guy the Yankees called up to replace Nady on the roster pitched this afternoon, it is not a delayed anouncement.

Help! still can't get Nady taken out of the line up. How can we verify whether or not he was truly put on the list???

Updated 4/14/2009 10:48 PM

News: The Yankees placed Nady on the disabled list, and he could be sidelined for an extended period. New York manager Joe Girardi said Wednesday the initial report from an MRI "is not good." Team doctor Christopher Ahmad will re-examine Nady on Thursday

Analysis: Nady, who had elbow ligament replacement surgery on Sept. 29, 2001, experienced the pain making a throw to the infield after Carlos Pena's single in the seventh. He left the game after the inning was completed. "It's sore," Nady said Wednesday. "I'll get a better understanding Thursday. The originial report didn't look great. It's frustrating. It's tough."

I think we will either see it later tonight or in the morning. Gordon and Johjima popped up on the DL since the last time I checked this afternoon. I only have Nady in one league, the main, so it will be easy to keep an eye on

Nady on dl but Stats wont let us change him out. Whats up with that. I hate this bullshit dl rule anyway, been waiting all damn day to change my lineup but stats just playing with themselves or something.

Probably best to wait until Friday morning anyway. What if the player you activate on Thursday gets hurt in Thursday's game. You can't undo it.

How late on Friday do we have to make the DL change. Not sure what the rule is. I agree that it is a pain not having stats update the DL list. It is 11:44 here and 1:44 on the east coast and stats still has not updated Nady status on the DL list. Extremely busy tomorrow and can only hope to find time to make the change.

This info is available for Nady is you click on the news link next to his name on the lineup screen, yet no DL designation.

"News: The Yankees placed Nady on the disabled list,"

yankees.com

"Without knowing whether Nady's injury is serious enough to warrant a stay on the 60-day disabled list, the Yankees instead placed him on the 15-day DL, forcing them to keep him on the 40-man roster"

In MagII, I want CRoss in for Nady please.

I agree on this Nady issue. As I write this it is 5:30 EST. Some of the people who have Nady will want to replace him with someone in one of the two games that start this afternoon. Also, the Yankees play at 1pm, which means he will lock. He has been on the DL since yesterday afternoon and the guy they replaced him with on the Yankees has already pitched in a game.

He should be DL eligible by now and is not. Many of us need to check our teams in the morning and then go to work. We can't always get to a computer at lunchtime to switch a player out just because STATS needs almost 24 hours to add a DL designation.

It should happen overnight every time, at the latest.

Agreed. I am sitting here late for work because I can't open the NFBC site FROM work. It is blocked by Bank of America.

agree, i am not sure stats made nady DL eligible but it must have been right before the yankees game started because i was checking all night as well. Even if the guy did go on the DL this morning, not everyone can sit around on the computer all morning and wait. I normally would not care, but i have nady in my online championship roster which I am pretty sure will be decided by the smallest of margins... So i got nady in my lineup for the next 3 days. Stats gets a major FAIL on this one.
