How is this $125 Satellite Team?
I just drafted this Wednesday night. Had to leave with about 5 rounds left at the end.
Thought I got Teixeira at a good value, but am concerned about Roberts.
Picked up Beltran later on, just for fun in the event he plays half the season.
Later round value in Coghlan and Escobar, however, my Catcher position is extremely weak and I missed a few of my target numbers:
Target Projected
R 1150 1112
HR 290 234
RBI 1100 970
SB 170 178
AVG 280 280.5
I'd appreciate feedback!

Why do you only show hitting projections? That's only half the battle.

That's true. I have to put those in. Will try to later on.

"Clearly, a change of division did him some good. With L.A. Kazmir went 2-2 with a 1.73 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP in six starts. Amazing what getting away from the Yanks and Red Sox can do for a pitcher, huh? His K/9 rate was still a little down, 26 punchouts in 36.1 innings is nothing to be vexed about. If you're a risk/reward kind of fantasy player, this is your man."

Kaz will be taken in the late teens in most drafts. Im not criticizing your liking him (though I disagree), just think you could have had a better team had you waited on him.

I'm not high on M Byrd and I'm sure there are many others who aren't planning on taking him either this year but taking him in rd 22 is a good pick.

I agree w/ Richard about Byrd. OF is good overall, great if Beltran comes back (healthy) sooner. Hairston in 30th rd could be awesome value, playing time & ballpark are concerns.
Good mix of power & speed in the IF. You could do worse than Schumaker in the 28th rd, but wonder if Lopez/Ryan/Lugo will take some of his PT.
Pitching staff should rake in the W's, even if peripherals aren't stellar. If you get Washburn the Mariner that's good, if you get Washburn the Tiger, that's bad.
2 good closers in Pap & Franklin w/ plenty of possible candidates to become closers....maybe too many. Perhaps should've grabbed another hitter.
I think this team should contend.

Having two teams in the same year doesen't set well with some folks.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Thanks for all the replies!
- I'm a little worried about Brian Roberts. If he ends up missing 1-2 months, I don't like my chances. He was the biggest risk I took (IMO)
- I probably have too many RP's, however, I'm trying to hit around 90 saves, so I wanted to make sure I could cover that.
- Kazmir was my leap of faith. I've always been high on him. He just needs to keep healthy, and now that he's out of the AL East and will be spending a lot of time in pitchers' parks, he should see upped stats. As long as he plays.
- I regret not have a decent catcher. Buster and Dioner aren't reliable. I will have to catch a break somewhere along the line on that spot.
- My team's power is a concern. I think I am good on Runs Scored, SB's, and AVG. HR and RBI I will have to work for.
- Pitching-wise, W, K's and SO's are within reach. WHIP is going to be tough, but perhaps I can use some of those RP's I have hanging around to help? Also, ERA is a toss-up. C.C., A.J., and Kaz should be below 4, but that's with fingers crossed.
I appreciate the comments. Please continue!
