Prediction: in 2 months the #1 FB site!

All,

I know it was an ugly week but the development team has made great strides in days. I know they should have a beter qa process, etc... but, look at how far the site has come in 7 days! if the fanball management and development team keep focused, they will have an awesome site shortly. Seriously, there are already things that are better than stats, like not waiting 2 minutes for pitching stats to load

time will tell. the proof will be in the pudding. for now. i just want what they said they would deliver....can we please just get the stats right now?? can we streamline the team pages, can we see transaction, etc..etc!!! tomorrow(lets see if the lineup changes and live scoring for the lineup changes are correct) is another big day followed by another dreaded sunday. lets see if the fanball team delivers.. i would love just to enjoy the season instead of all of this stress. when i put in for players(faab), make lineup changes, ck standings etc i expect it to be done right. so, lets temper the accolades and see what the following weeks deliver. honestly, the last 5 days have been a TRAINWRECK!!! the last 35 years opening day were enjoyable...not this year!! :(

I wish I could have the same blind faith that you have.

They proved they clearly spent no time testing anything. What gives you any confidence they will change?

great... in two months we should have the system that should have been in place since day 1.

i appreciate the big 3... but dammit this league is a joke. its supposed to be the #1 out there and we barely have any functions from the previous seasons. to me they should look at the Yahoo interface and just copy it. yahoo recently added a play link so that you can see highlights of your player or any player. home runs, strikeouts, etc. this should be the goal. their stats and sorting are top notch. the ease of moving around the site is fantastic. We need to have the BEST interface out there since this is supposed to be the BEST game in town. anything less than what we had last year is beyond disappointing.

and can we please lose the draft order? that hasnt been useful or needed since the day after we drafted.

Troop- did the Easter Bunny bring you good stuff this year? Have you not yet figured out how Santa beat you from one mall to the other?

Support for Greg and the gang good. Saying fanball programmers are going to get this fixed without a change in philosophy, priorities, leadership, new talent is a stretch to easter bunny like proportions in my book.

Nothing I've seen gives me any confidence that this backend will even be equal to what we had last year any time soon, much less better. They are just now getting the very basics down several days after the season began. There are major problems within the Fanball organization and it starts at the very top. E's absence has been deafening. Even an apolegetic statement would be refreshing. It appears he's laid a giant pile of crap in the arms of Greg and Tom, and frankly that's not fair.

We shouldn't need to worry about anything other than managing our team, or in many cases, teams - this has been a big distraction that STILL isn't fixed.

3,000 hours (300 * 10) of our lives have been wasted on needless fanball BS. 3,000 hours! that's 125 DAYS. GONE. POOF.

THANKS FANBALL BACKEND

300 x 10 = 3,000. you are correct- the east coast guys are more analytical. and yes, that is on the low side

I have no idea what they have been up to for the last 6 months or what ever. However as a former developer years ago, I know how much has gotten accomplished in a short amount of time. IF they can keep their focus on this game - which btw is a big IF, then this site will be fantastic shortly. There are already things better than STATS, like the speed of RT scoring (remember how it took like a 30-45 seconds for your pitching?)

Remember how long it took Stats to do anything? I think if we encourage the programmers vs. **** on them, we may get some very nice results

No doubt it's been a disappointing start, but I think in another week or so we'll have a good idea if they are capable or not of delivering a good game platform.

Yesterday was a big day.

The team page is looking better, transaction history is now displayed, remaining owner FAAB is now calculated, overall standings are now available.

We're getting there. There's still a ways to go and still a lot to do. The team page, free agent page, set lineup page & live scoring all still need to add features we had last year, need to be cleaned up, or both. Each day, we need to make similar strides to yesterday until we get to where we want all to be.

Still, yesterday was a very good day. At this point it appears all "critical features" are functional, just need to be made more user friendly and organized with the missing features and proper layouts. Keep up the good work guys, we are getting there.
